The Raid - Crusader Kings III Northern Lords Battle Music Compilation
Ойындар
By popular demand, I've put together the new battle tracks from the Northern Lords Flavor Pack for Crusader Kings III. I put them all together, and played the first part twice, once in the beginning, and once again halfway through to give the whole thing a bit more longevity. I hope you enjoy the wonderful compositions by Andreas Waldetoft and Paradox Development Studios!

Me normally: Realistically the Norse culture of raiding and fighting is too volatile for a consolidated rule and will inevitably fall back into warring settlements rather than stand the test of time as an empire. Me when this song plays: LADS PACK YOUR AXES WE’RE GOING A VIKING
Just did my first Northern Lords campaign as Ivar the boneless. Declares a subjugation war on the kingdom of Scotland, and heard this bone chilling soundtrack play. Probably the most epic moment I’ve ever had in Crusader Kings.
Was playing as a Christian Nation. Never had any encounter with the Nords. When you declare war as a Christian Nation, you have a hopeful but epic music playing like if God is sending his hand to offer his benediction. Then one day, Sweden declare war on me and this dreadful music starts playing like if all hope was gone. My troops 3200 men vs 9500 excluding his allies... Sorry my good faithful Christians citizens, but there will be no salvation from God.

Teeth are chattering, blood is boiling and the gods are calling. Hear the ear-splitting sound of the war horn. Hear the end of times. War has come from the mountain above. From the north came the unworldly warriors. With their mighty axes in their hands, Berserkergang is ready to be unleashed. All of the fury and wrath up from the North has united in one. No matter how ready, how holy you are. No warriors, no knights or any other king can save your future. All shall be sacrificed, all shall be perished before your very eyes. You will understand what Ragnarök feels like when the sons of the Æsir come. And they shall be, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙚𝙧𝙖.

icelandic guy here. I've been trying to make sense of the lyrics here for a bit now from 1:43-2:02. I'm by no means an expert on Old norse, but this seems like some actual words mixed in with some I can't make sense of, and most of it is absolute nonsense. Either that or the choir is mangling the pronunciation so that it it's impossible to make out the correct words. This is what I've come up with so far, just listening to the exact words that are being pronounced: Original: Leita að munsas löngvum (probably meant to be lǫngum) Blaðran vendi landið Af því eggjar dreffi Allir fram enn skáldið English translation: Searching for ??? for a long time The balloon/bladder ??? the land Because egging on ??? Everyone forward except the skald/poet

God damnit, Sweden, Norway and Denmark are NOT socialist. The Danish government even made an official response to Bernie Sanders after he called Denmark Socialist explaining the difference between Social Democracy and Democratic Socialism. I am myself from Sweden and I can promise you that we arent even a LITTLE socialist, sure we have socialist parties, but they are so small they are barely relevant. Also our Social Democratic Parties in the north lean slightly to the right in social questions, especially the Danish Social Democratic Party which is anti-migration and anti-integration.
