The R129 SL600 is back after a year of repair, and she needs some love
the 1997 Mercedes Benz R129 SL600 is back from 14 months away at the body shop after a minor collision. ADS suspension issues, a steering angle sensor kept it from driving, but now we have it in the shop and we can figure out what's next on the list to make the car solid once more!

Love to see where this goes. We have a 96 SL600 in white with the bi-xenon and same wheel option with a Renntech exhaust. Need to tackle an ADS issue that is putting it in limp mode, contemplating an actual air suspension, not sure how far into the deep end I want to swim though.

I couldn't believe when the ADS issue was a steering angle sensor. lol Really hope that Star diagnostic computer system project actually shows up some day so end users can read and write to the modules in these cars

Curious, looked like throttle body has an o-ring for the cover, maybe it's overfuelling that bank. It's a busy engine bay.

they are weather tight due to so many sensitive electronics inside. this throttle body is quite compromised, so needs replaced either way.
The R129 xenon headlights are not hard to find used, just pricey. Like $500-600 for a decent one on eBay. If you need fans I have a 91 500SL parts car.

I call anything unreasonably expensive 'hard to find' but you're right. the hard to find part was the radiator. I found fans, but I do need the cross bars in front of them and an AC pressure switch and pigtail if your parts car has those
