There are thousands of villages in punjab where entire generations of SIKH youth and their families were wiped out. It was a systematic state sponsored genocide much like the Nazi party in germany. Moreover the government could have easily arrested bhinderanwale if they had politly asked him. But they tried to bribe him, which he outright rejected because he was an honest person. Earlier they had arrested him but They had no evidence against him. He was doing nothing but leading a dharma yudh morcha movement for anand pur resolution. Situation deteriorated when the police started to murder innocent youth and nirankari began disrespect Guru granth sahib g and sikh gurus. Operation bluestar was deliberate attack at the SIKHS by government to teach them a lesson. Bhinderanwale never demanded khalistan, he always said that he neither supports it nor he is against it. It is often misquoted by media.
