I hope that they will provide the same coverage of Sikh community treatment in Pakistan and Afghanistan. India is not perfect, but it has come a LONG way and learned from its mistakes. Punjab is now on of the most richest state in India, has government support and has the highest per capita income in the country. Past was bad, lesson were learned, it was all under congress control, with an exception of the farmer bill, now central govt is making sure to take care of Punjab.

The reason we have been targetted is Sikhs great courage. Hindu majority did see closely Sikhs bravery, they knew that after Independence, this race of Punjabis is going to be a hard hurdle for them so just after independence they started treating Sikhs as slaves and second degree citizens.

The fact is sikhs betrayed the mutiny and uprising of 1857 they fought with British against it. More than 99 percent of freedom fighters were Hindus since the Islamic fighters sikhs came later and tiny majority and those sikhs who fought against Islamic were Hindus today's sikhs are not sikhs of today

Before that, a majority of Bharat had subdued to the mughals. The sikh misls freed the captured Hindu women from Abdali and looted him every time he exited India after his looting. Many of the Hindu rajas used to give their daughters to Mughals, so as to avoid a war, and gaining the mughals' favour. kitho di anak hegi thuade vich, if we were to actually judge? Obviously, there were brave Hindu rulers who fought against the Mughals, but majority of the rulers' and their population's spirit was either crushed or subdued by Mughals first, and then the British. And you seem to have many misconceptions on 1947, or even before that. tell me, did the government make u study only some history and actually amplified the contribution of hindus in freedom, (which was there, but can't be equated to sacrifice of sikhs) and erased the contribution of sikhs, and maybe even Muslims. Sikhs did not betray, they got betrayed. After Maharaja Ranjit Singh's demise, the Sikh empire and its unity fell, giving the British a chance. Most of other states remained slaves of British or Mughals more than Punjab did, which slowly gained autonomy after sikhi was born in Punjab. And no, more than 99% of freedom fighter weren't Hindu, that figure doesn't even seem real. Do real research then come back, it will be better for u to give actual academic sources, that are credible.
