I love this scene because you can almost see her fall in love with Phillip again. Absence does make the heart grow fonder

In my opinion, she was never out of love with Philip, but she was heartbroken upon discovering the photo of the ballerina in his case, which made her cold towards him. The absence made it a lot of grueling, so seeing him smile again, as if he's looking at her, renewed the cherish part of her love.

@thatoneguy Remembering that this photo of the dancer is fictitious. In real life, official sources report that she was in love with him. He even changed a law to include or exclude surnames on children, because Philip is kind of known for that. I don't judge Philip because 100 years ago, a boy was raised in a sexist world.

I sometimes say it out loud. For no reason at all. I'm not even a native speaker and don't live in an English-speaking country. It's just that tone and 'house of windsor'-accent and the sheer randomness of it: "oh that's good. I like that". I can just hear Lizzie saying under her breath...' as long as you approve, right mummy?' "Pardon?" 'Tea mummy; I asked you if you would like some more tea?'
he looks very happy to be able to do something with the Royal Navy, rather than be in a stuffy old castle as arm candy, the look on his face as he is in that frigid land of ice and rocks in the south atlantic instead of the warmth of their rooms at Buckingham Palace, tells you much about how Phillip thirsted for adventure, and how much he missed his naval career prior to the death of King George VI.

@ishei It seems to be a mistake on the research part of the series. Nothing I have found indicates Wilhelm II, also known as the Kaiser, had Heterochromia Iridum (two separate coloration of the eyes). Although they may be referring to how either he had different colored eyes than the royal family, or his eyes changed color in sunlight which is common for many Caucasians with blue eyes.

Ah, the over-confident arrogance and sense of self-entitlement, the unmoving opinions and the unwillingness to accept that they are anything less than perfect.... the moral superiority accompanied by the disparaging comment about younger generations... you must be a baby boomer! I would also like to remind you that the oldest millennials are now 40... and the youngest are now 25. Most of them are now parents and work and pay taxes.
