Modern society is aiming to erase traditional gender distinctions and distinct roles within gender. While the gospel of Christ asserts that all are equal in terms of salvation-affirming that there is "neither male nor female" in Christ-this does not negate the physical and role-based distinctions that exist between genders.
Scripture acknowledges these differences in practical and spiritual contexts, recognizing that men and women, while equal in dignity and value, have different roles and functions. This differentiation is not just biological but extends to the roles each gender plays in society, church, and family life.
The modern push towards a gender-neutral society, often underpinned by a desire to promote equality, extends to denying these inherent differences, which leads to confusion and chaos. Such an approach disregards the divine wisdom in creating gender-specific roles and attributes, ultimately leading to a breakdown in family structures and society.
Christians are called to engage with and challenge the culture when it sets itself against God.
