The Punishment | 4K | Tennis Training Session 01

What up KZread tennis fam!
I've always wanted to take my game to the next level but in the past year of moving to a new state and being the new member at a club, I started slipping down the path of playing tennis maybe once a week, eating unhealthy, and falling out of shape...my dream was starting to slip away and it was time to do something about it.
So here's the very first training session of 2019, with the sole purpose of this session to burn my legs and lungs and get me into tennis shape. This was the same day I got the flu so I was struggling out there as you'll see, footwork and strokes sloppy but at the same time it felt so good to be out there.
Please leave me your feedback and comments, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Can't wait to share the next video and show ya'll the ups and downs of the process. Can't wait to connect with the YT tennis crew!

One thing I'll be cleaning up is the footwork going to the wide fh, I still take these closed stance out of habit and need to plant the open stance to set up for a nice deep crosscourt stroke. Any thoughts on the strokes?

@@ACTennis so true, my backhand is a disaster at the moment. A few years back I injured my arm hitting 2 handers and went to slice only and have just stuck with it ever since. I know what you mean with coming over the top, the slice is such a safer play when you're just trying not to blow it. It's amazing what some of the pros like Lopez can do with pretty much only hitting slice bh, but I'm just making excuses. The 2 hander is coming back this year! Try to go out and practice those specific low or tough balls and ingrain them in so you look forward to hitting that stroke. Thanks for the feedback buddy, really helps to hear a player's perspective

Love, love your channel! That commitment! Your gear choice, racquet, shoes, strings, that teal snapback. The music... (higher pitch mod?) Great to see your journey! Don't stop!

Hey thanks so much for the nice comment, that's super awesome. Wow I actually looked back at this video and I was a little sluggish haha. Maybe I should do another one of these training sessions and see if there's any difference in the course of a year. Glad you like the hat that's one of my favs too in seafoam green. Can't believe it's already June I have some work to do out there! Hope all is well out there with you.
