That’s the game’s bug. So the player take advantage of that
Why does the runner do all of these unessisary movments during the run? Wasting time with grabbing boxes and rolling with them, shooting the pistol wildly left and right, it just makes no sense

Because his aim is also bump the score, so those moves bringing him more scores. So that's why at 50:33, his score was bump to 9999900, full scores.
