Pumpkins will be great amongst the beans, that's two of the three sisters way of planting, a native American method where they plant pumpkins, beans and sweetcorn in the same space. They'll do fine.

Me and hubby got an allotment nearly 7 weeks ago now we absolutely love it and it made me laugh when you said you couldn’t let the pumpkins die so you potted them on 😂 my hubby planted so much of everything incase they didn’t germinate but we ended up with so much and I’ve not been able to throw away anything as I see it as food and such a waste I love your blogs ther raw and organic and I’ve learnt a lot from you by you just being real thank you 🙏

Emma. Put a line of Garden Lime around your plants the slugs and snails will not cross because it will burn them.

A squash with GLA? One squash I know is Gladiator? The slugs and snails (I call them the devils pets) are having a bumper year everywhere in the UK lol. I've lost loads of marigolds, bean plants, and some pumpkin plants, as well as others.

Hi Emma, to protect your strawberries it worth purchasing some organza draw string bags to place over each flowering point once pollinated for perfect strawberries every time. Your allotment is looking fantastic. Hope this helps. ❤

I'm so jealous of your weather, in Iceland there have been 3 days of hurricanes🌪 and snowfall, 🌧everything I had put out has died and 2 days left according to the forecast, so now I'm sitting and watching your video and dreaming that move to warmer countries🌍🌎🌏

Your pumpkin & squash plants look so big & healthy. I sure hope the slugs/snails leave them alone. Thank you so much for sending the sun my way, too. Your powers reached me all the way to eastern Washington state in the US. Much appreciated.

Thank you Emma!, I never knew that there was a way to figure out which direction a pumpkin would grow. I wonder if it works the same way for a climbing courgette? I just planted out two of them and I think that I may have to dig them up and turn them around. I will make sure that I apologise to them.

Well done on your amazing courgette and pumpkin plants, fingers crossed the slugs stay away! Your last video filled me with great pleasure. I’m so so glad that you had a very restful holiday with your family. But what filled me with joy was seeing the huge amount of pleasure you got from pulling out the potatoes and finding some….that’s what gardening is all about. Thanks
