A lot about ourselves, we can't choose. But we can choose what we do with what was given to us. The journey to a better us can take many shapes, acceptance or a look for change. But at the end of the day, we just want to be happy with ourselves and what we have, whether we started with it or not.

abandonment (at least for me) is the anxiety and fear that i am not good enough. that i need to overcompensate just be someone at least worth looking at. That i am unloved and should feel ashamed of myself 24/7 or that I have done something disgusting to make people not trust me and thereby, they have to leave me. being abandoned has made me feel like a monster that should be excessively grateful for any bit of attention or positive reinforcement. And when people stay consistent or stick around, I get panic attacks, wonder when they'll leave, brace myself for the pain, unwittingly push them away first, self harm, and severely distrust others...idk about you, but maybe you have the words now and can share?

@@NDJunction I am honored that you would ask me. I think about those who care about me. This shows me that i am worthwhile and that others see that too. I see that friendships ebb and flow. Sometimes your super close and sometimes events move you apart for a time. When troubles come it has helped me to remember that "this too shall pass". The trouble won't last forever i need only be patient. You are not a monster your a person that has wounds. You deserve the same love and friendship that all people deserve. It is hard to see ourselves accurately. Like you perhaps my own mind is my worst enemy. It tries to tell me the worst case scenario. This is a lie as none of us know everything. A friend told me once do not confuse effect for intent. Meaning if a friend of mine cancels a hangout it doesn't mean they don't care but that something may have come up. Be who you are around people they will do what they do we can't control their reaction. I suggest always to think of a positive reason for someone's reactions. You are a living wonder as a human being. Did you know that for the tail of a bacteria to function 2-4000 things must happen in the correct order. Think about how much more amazing you are that it. You are not alone I am at your disposal should you want to talk further. It makes me feel better when I can help others.

Julie's and Cassie's story were the saddest to me. Maddie's, for some reason made me see how smart she really is, and that amplified when she had that scene with her employer bc even tho she hates Cassie, she's willing to understand her, even tho she's mad. And Nate's story is so confusing to me and so deep that idk what to make of it lol

So i haven’t actually watched Euphoria yet but it’s kind of interesting to see just from this video alone how similar i am to jules lol. 😳 I already knew that i have something in common with her being a trans girl so that has intrigued me from the start, but i think i can personally relate to every single experience in this video and probably more. Like jules i’ve had terrible anxiety/depression all the while worrying about what others think and being unhealthily people pleasing, which has taken a long time to unlearn and to be able to be more kind to myself. It is very nice and refreshing to see a character that has the similar struggles that i’ve had that sometimes to me have felt like “dumb” “petty” struggles but for me they have been excruciatingly real. With time i’ve become better at accepting them as valid and that I’m deserving of respect and understanding and i truly do appreciate the people who do understand and want to treat me with respect and love. I hope to find more of those people going forward in my life.

you gut punched my feelings with your explanation on self-harming being a self-soothing activity because from 12 years old to 19, now almost 20 years old i have self-harmed as a way to soothe myself and reign in my emotions so i wouldn't burst and lash out at others, ive been working on opening up verbally and physically since i was 16 but a few weeks ago after almost two years of not self-harming i had a nervous break and fell right back into my old habits of cutting on myself for emotional release. it was.....pleasant to hear you talk so openly and nonjudgmentally about it and why it happens for reasons other than trying to commit suicide as ive only tried to actually commit suicide through self-harming twice in my life, once at 13 and once at 17. honestly if i could take you on as my therapist i would because i feel like talking to you would help, especially as just listening to your videos has already helped tremendously in unpacking my own trauma and grief in a healthier manner

This intro to the episode hit me on so many levels. The part where she realized she's being left there hit me pretty hard, second only to when she cuts herself. The moment she apologizes I can't help but cry. Jules is too good for this world, and as you put it, she was more concerned with hurting somebody else more than the hurt she caused to herself.

I told her my whole story, and at the end of it she said, wow that is a lot i dont really know what to say that truly is awful. Then she suggested i color til my mom picked me up. I for sure want to see a vid on Jules and why she became more permiscuous. I one time saw a few clips of this Dr. Phil episode where someone like Jules transitioned and her mother actually, ABSOLUTELY adored her, like Jule's father. But the girl was very mean to other girls and started sleeping around and even "slut shaming" others. DP did not get into the psycopathy of that because it was more important to stop the girl's mother from losing more money, losing her house, and sleeping in cars/hotels just to protect her daughter...so i was left curious. . Great job on the cosplay by-the-by; it was a nice, *modest* touch xD and it helps us (or maybe just me) to feel more comfortable listening to *un* comfortable topics and subjects. I always calm down a bit more when u switch back to u talking and the lighting of your room

PUPPY!!!! Puppies should be therapy in and of themselves! Cats too. Was engaged to a girl in university, but her cat loved me more than she did. ;) The Ultimate though, is babies. I see a baby and immediately laugh and smile. Sometimes, babies lean WAY out of their strollers to continue looking at me and smiling back. My Dad was my rock...still is, and my Mom too. They always will be. Trust for other people though...pretty much dissipates after that. (Sighs) Someday...maybe.

It seems like age 11 is a severely intense time for kids...my mom took my brother and I with her... nevermind that neither of us wanted to go, we both would have preferred to stay with our Dad. I have felt safe sometimes but unsafe most of the time. My brother is older by 6 years but was more expressive while I became stoic.

I don’t know how interested you are in Video Games. However if you were to react to any of them you should try out Psychonauts 1 & 2. It’s a game all about diving into the minds of others. And a big part of it is showing to empathize with others struggling and it’s really good at tackling the complex issues of mental health.

My closest friends were never burdened with or didn’t care to know of the violence and hospitalizations my parents inflicted upon me and my siblings. I was never into the whole victim Olympics thing and although it did affect me I am thankful to have seen it for what it was at a relatively young age. I didn’t hate them I understood that they were just people with issues and those issues took many forms that reverberated out to effect me and my siblings. What I could do is choose to either continue that generational trend or kill it with Radical acceptance, it changed the lens through which I view the world forever. Usually without waxing and waning about my own trauma comparing and contrasting it to the whiners it always took effort to bite my tongue when folks, both young adults and adults whined and blamed their parent(s) for all their misfortune due to nothing other than the parent(s) working which is viewed as absence to the empty headed but in reality is love, for it provided for them. I’ve since gained control of that disdain towards them because everyone’s tragedy is what they know and will one day mature enough to see it for themselves that it isn’t productive to eternally blame others and be a perpetual victim in every situation to gain points or sympathy. Admittedly nowadays disdain is replaced by sympathy for it is tragic to see kids disguised as grown ups.
