Somewhere featuring Anneke van Giersbergen from this same concert is the best duet ever in the Symphonic Metal Sharon and Anneke sound unique togeather

Singer Sharon Den Adel also has a degree in fashion design and designs all and makes all her stage costumes like the one she wears here. Her Husband plays rhythm guitar and her brother in law used to play keyboards for the band.

You should say her brother-in-law had played keyboards in the band but now is the founder, primary song creator, and keyboardist of the band Delain, which has just re-formed with a new singer, who has a great smooth, warm, angellic sound. Delain's new album is coming out in a couple of weeks. Oh, and Sharon does work with others on the design of and making of the outfits.

@@rickrack4812 I'm sure I wrote used to play which means he isn't in the band any more same as her husband has stopped playing live too and just does studio work. Didn't know Delain had reformed post Charlotte Wessels but will certainly look forward to future releases. Sharon does have other people come in with designs now according to her last interview on the subject which I've just read on google which contradicts other statements I've heard on how she designs things. I hope this now sorts out any mistakes I've made in my comments here.

Great song, the entire concert is awesome. For more WT, I recommend Ice Queen and Mother Earth. Both were played at this show as well.

This performance of this song is a masterpiece! It was one of the first WT songs I heard about five years ago and it remains my favorite! Sharon is unique and amazing!!!

This concert is one of my favorites. There is just something special about a concert that combines the heaviness of pure metal with the soul-feeding goodness of pure classical, symphonic music. So, so good!

For sure the two best songs, but all the songs on the first 5 albums is gold.

I absolutely love that really sweet moment near the end where Sharon and her partner (now husband) Robert smile at each another. Beautiful.

This is Awesome. I like Sharon's lower register also. Her partner is the guy with the skull on his shirt and they have 3 kids.

Someday you need to start buying ALL of the DVDs with the extra content bonus discs and see how they create this music and work with orchestras such as one in Ukraine for , I think it was, The Heart of Everything album. AND, Sharon's fashion development for the band and developing the overall look for the concerts and cover art. The extra features bonus disk that comes with a Blu-ray or DVD for THIS concert also have some fantastic and funny material, mostly centered around the lovely Sharon. But it also has the section on the making of this concert, working and developing it with the orchestra to make it work.

One of my favorites from Within Temptation is "Frozen", but if you do that one, watch the original video version, because of the deep and dark story.

I knew Alanna liked it when she was taking lots of notes 😂 I'd love for you to hear some of their more recent songs, like Shot In The Dark, Sinéad, Covered by Roses for example! Each album is so different but still has that distinctive WT sound.

Imagine trying to sing that high after losing your voice not three days earlier (stress?) and only getting it back the day of the show with no rehearsal. Add to that trying to sing like that after dancing and running around so much. Of course, it sounds much thinner than it does on the album version, but that is quite understandable due to those considerations and it being live. This is a true example of what symphonic heavy metal is supposed to be. Unfortunately it is quite expensive to make it properly. It is performances and vocals like this that make people like me considered Within Temptation to be the absolute Pinnacle of Symphonic Heavy Metal genre,, along with the tewnty-$omething other performances on this concert DVD. IMHO.

Are you gonna do this whole concert as well? Another great Dutch singer who deserves to be at the spotlight A great video as well is The purge from Within Temptation Do you Know Sharon and Robert are married?
