Why in America are people able to hit so many bricks and they barely rebound? Are they cheating running lower ball pressures or is it just the springs in the rings absorbing all that energy? In UK the rings are absolutely rigidly mounted to the backboard with no springs and with normall ball pressures, anything but an absolutely clean shot will massively brick and rebound miles away, or do crazy savage things in the ring and jump back out.

Why in America are people able to hit so many bricks and the ball barely rebounds? Are they cheating running lower ball pressures or is it just the springs in the rings absorbing all that energy? In UK the rings are absolutely rigidly mounted to the backboard with no springs and with normal ball pressures, anything but an absolutely clean shot will massively brick and rebound miles away, or do crazy, unpredictable, savage things in the ring and jump back out.
