There's no need to paint it, alloys of copper like brass and bronze are used in ship's propellers because they are resistant to corrosion and rust

@@pihermoso11yes but as far as I can see this is just copper as is. In ship screws they use Copper aluminium Copper tin Copper manganese.

@@johncho1386 The pop rivets used here look like they have a copper sheath and the standard electro-galvanized steel stem as common pop rivets.

It should last a lifetime compared to other roofing materials - corrosion resistant - environmentally friendly - fully recyclable ----- the list goes on.

Plus it goes a green colour when the copper oxidises, as can be seen in the factor roof at the 30 second mark.
I still prefer glazed tiles

私の知っている日本語では、黄金と言いますけれども・・・狭義では金属名を指すのかもしれませんが。 「こがね」と呼んでみたらいかがでしょう、良い翻訳だと思いますよ。
