Robin is way different from MCU Spider-Man same as Nightwing or comics Spider-Man I love comics Spider-Man and Nightwing but I would not say they're the same but I get what you're saying and the whole Iron Man Sidekick is Spider-Man thing is really annoying, I use the auto thingy on the phone thingy so I might have spelling issues on this

@Marc Stone Exactly, much like Goddamn 47 said Parker's like NightWing in being a young hero who doesn't live under anyone else's shadow. Yet they put him in Stark's shadow. Hell in another video it's stated that this incarnation was based on Miles Morales. And it shows as Miles will forever be in Peter's shadow, as this version of Parker will be in Stark's shadow...

After the ps4 Spider-Man and the Into the Spiderverse, it just makes Mcu Spider-Man, especially the trailer for far from home, feel soooooo mediocre. I have no excitement for it. And that's sad.

@ThatDamnScottishGuy well that's an overexageration The consequence with Liz is way out of left field, he had no idea she would leave the the frickin city because here dad was arrested. Also the fact that she leaves doesn't mean anything because she is a blank slate character and her feelings towards Peter never change, everytime she should be mad at him but she isn't because something more dire happens which makes her not give a crap. My point was that his actions should have bigger consequences in terms of how his school work and social life is affected but it isn't. The consequences aren't meaningful and we don't see anyone at any point dislike him aside from Flash but he's like that throughout the whole film so it doesn't count. I said the consequences needed to be more meaningful and people said they shouldn't. people saying that makes no sense as he is already responsible for the death of his Uncle and he died in Infinity War. Sky's the freaking limit

@@TheOfficialPineTreeStudios true but it's not like we saw any of it. Also doesn't change how Peter has it too easy in Homecoming honestly. I don't need him to accidently kill Ned's dad but at least one of his friends getting sick of his ditching them and then shut him out. They establish a friendship group but nothing changes in said friendship group. We never see them ask where Peter was or see them get mad over him ditching them whilst in DC, we don't see the teacher question where he is, we don't see Ned make an excuse. Anything would've been better than nothing but his social is given no real sense of significance when it could've played a good crucial role in Peter's arc

troyoboyo17 exactly. Andrew actually said in an interview with Amy Adams that he got heart broken because Sony was more interested in easter eggs, references and set ups for other movies then making an actual good film and respecting the character of Spider-Man. He added, and this is a sentence I actually memorized: “I signed up to serve the story and to serve this amazing character that I have been dressing up as since I was three.” Kinda makes you wonder how Avi Arad did a great with the best Spider-Man movies, yet screwed up the Amazing movies.

This is why I want Matt Murdock/Daredevil in a Spider-man movie. Though I feel Ben SHOULD be apart of Pete's life, I feel that Matt would be a GREAT opposite father figure for Pete. Matt's been through Peter's struggle unlike Tony. Matt knows how hard it is to live double life. And also unlike Tony Matt wouldn't belittle Peter and treat him like a child, Matt would appreciate that there's someone else out there that has love for this city and wants to do good. I personally feel a lot of storylines the MCU explores with Spider-Man isn't earned if that makes sense or is just treated as a joke. The whole Aunt May finding out Peter is Spider-Man should be something big. Being afraid that Peter could one day not come home, just like Uncle Ben should be worrying for her. Also, the reveal of Peter's identity in Far from Home. If you're trying a Civil War arc, you have to earn it with good storytelling and development. With Peter giving away the last thing his mentor had for him to someone he barely knows, he unknowingly yet stupidly allows Mysterio to screw him over in the end. But, again in my opinion, Far from Home and the lot of the storylines explored in the MCU with Spider-Man are not earned or properly developed or treated like a big joke.

Not to mention that in the MCU uncle Ben can't even be much more then 15 years older then Peter with how young they made Aunt May! So how can he spit life facts to Peter when he's wouldn't of been much older! Plus we shoulda saw Spider-man struggling to be Spider-man at first instead we see him fight the Avengers which comes off as rushed -_- plus Tony Stark made Spider-mans look for him which I hate the most!

One of my biggest problems with MCU Spider-Man is how little it cared about the many side characters. Literally everyone is just there to make a few jokes and go home. We learn next to nothing about Peter's relationships with those around him. There's never any weight to his friendships with Ned and MJ. I never felt the sting of getting bullied by this stupid cyberbully-looking Flash. The one time his Spider-Man life clashes with Aunt May, Peter just cries and everything is fine. Because there's no weight, there's no investment. Because there's no investment, we don't care when Peter ruins all his relationships by being Spider-Man (like he should be)

THANK YOU! Spider-Man's greatest virtue is that he endures through the unforgiving nature of the world, and what frustrates me so much about the MCU Spider-Man is that he isn't someone that seems to have been through that ringer of emotional trauma. Sure the MCU Spider-Man may capture the snarkiness and optimism of the web-slinger, but the MCU seems to have forgotten that Spider-Man as he should be is so snarky and optimistic despite the tragedy he's been through. And really, what else is a hero but someone who can push through their own flaws to be something greater? That is what Spider-Man should be, and what the MCU Spider-Man disappointingly is not.

He mostly gets funded by Stark, and his Aunt May is cool wih her Nephew being a Superhero? Like wtf? Isn't Aunt May supposed to be worried and is suppose to Argue with her Nephew cuz He's a Fricking superhero? That's the Problem. If miles can indirectly be responsible for his uncle's death in Spider-Verse, almost die to kingpin and he's only 13/14 and just started being Spider-Man and still handle it. Im pretty sure the original Spider-Man who is supposed to be the king of consequence and sacrifice, that MCU Spider-Man should get some Consequences with meaning. And when there are consequences like the few in far from home they don't mean anything because they aren't shown, and we don't care. For example, *SPOILERS* When peter tells "Nick Fury" AKA Skrull AKA Mysterio that he told his friends about Mysterio and the truth with his illusions, Mysterio intends on killing them. Now this would effect us if his friends had depth and character development which they don't. The high school friends in this Spider-Man universe are soley there for comedy and to get a laugh out of the crowd, that's literally it. Betty had no depth, Ned has no depth, Flash definitely has no depth, Michelle has no depth, and so on. So his friends "dieing" isn't even a threat to us as the audience because A. We know it's marvel, they won't kill them, B. The stakes aren't there because the characters have no emotional weight. Take Gwens death in TASM 2 it impacts us so much because it was subtle, she had depth and was a great character. So when you see Peter's loss and him crying you care for Gwen and Peter.

I long for _Spider-Man 4_ and will never be able to move past the fact that they rebooted with Garfield, failed, and then had to reboot with Holland. Can you imagine....can you literally imagine, Tony Stark walking into a local high school in Queens and finding a middle-aged semi-retired Toby Maguire teaching physics and recruting him for the "Civil War" with Captain America. The ability to re-con and age the MCU by 6+ years by adding the Raimi films. Something happened during the battle of New York and Spider-Man failed to aid the Avengers. Maybe he almost died, etc etc. So much richness in character already pre-established and then to move a titan with 3 films under his belt into the MCU? Oh man..... Could easily have worked into a "Spider-Verse" as Sony is trying to launch with _Venom_ but instead....could actually have something they don't have to build from the ground up. OR....kill Toby off in _Spider-Man 4_ or _5_ and bring in Miles Morales. That works too. Holland's Spider-Man feels like a necessary and convenient MCU "puzzle piece." Raimi's Spider-Man is bigger than an entire puzzle.

You really focus on the character of Peter and how the MCU's version directly contradicts everything that sets Peter apart from other superheroes and their comics. It blows my mind that the majority of moviegoers can proclaim so fervently that this is the best version of Spider-Man we've seen. It breaks my heart, because what it really feels like is our popular culture doesnt actually LIKE Spider-Man anymore. They see him as cute and fun and childish. And that hurts me, because my entire life Spider-Man has been a brilliant and painfully human coming of age story. With the success of Into the Spider-Verse and Insomniac's Spider-Man, I'm really hoping people will remember why the 21st century fell in love with the webhead in the first place.

Iron man won’t be involved with Far From Home, I feel like what we’re gonna see is Fury addressing these problems. Pete wants to leave the suit at home instead of being Spider-Man on his trip. He’s being selfish. He has to learn how to be Spider-Man without the avengers and I’m praying that’s his arc in this sequel. I want more than a trilogy of these films in the mcu just so we can see this character fully fleshed out. I know Holland can be the best Spidey we’ve ever seen, it’s just up to the writers.

Same. If he's Spider-Man, he has already stepped up. He doesn't need a pep talk from Nick Fury to "step up". He's not supposed to be a reluctant hero. In the 90's cartoon and Spectacular, he was like a detective. If I remember correctly, he carried around tracker chips in his belt to track his enemies. My point is, he took the initiative and investigated the super villains and their sinister plans, even if it hurt his personal life. Here, he's a pushover who needs to be forced by Fury and Hill to hero up. That's odd because he was fine in Infinity War. He willingly went with Iron Man to fight the aliens. And even after Fury's pep talk and Iron Man's death, he still seems to be relying on their new fancy stealth suit along with a couple of other highly advanced suits to do the job instead of his own wits and powers. After hearing about multiverse monster stuff, he should've been intrigued and eager to investigate but instead he was like "Can't you just get Captain Marvel or Thor to look into this?"

Raimi's trilogy was still the best in its portrayal of the character, but we'll see what they do with Far From Home now that Iron Man doesn't seem to play as large of a role. Hopefully, his actions will have consequences in this one.

The fact that he made a really cool looking suit out of basically nothing not only shows how smart he is but it shows that you don't have to be a billionaire with high tech armor, a super soldier with a vibranium shield, or a wizard to be a super hero.

a way to fix this i guess: Peter tells Aunt May what actually happened in Germany now that May knows he's Spider-man. May realizes Tony's douchynes and restricts peter from being around him and the Avengers. May has a sit-down talk with him about how tony got in his head and how peter's clinging on to tony to cover up uncle Ben's death. Peter realizes is mistake and his motivation switches from "it's cool" to "it's the right thing to do". maybe he also gets with cap around here realizing that he's a better "father figure".

Dude, you are like reading my mind. This is excatly all of my problems with MCU Spider-man. They've turned Peter Parker in Miles Morales, forgetting that Miles is boring and shallow character. And I'm glad that this fanboy wave is coming down and people start to look into the character deeper than his armpit webs and moving eyelenses. P.S. Great moment for including Uncle Ben would've been in the rubble scene. But they ultimatly ruined it. Because it looks like his reasoning for not giving up and trying to stop the Vulture not because this is the right thing to do and this is his responsibility, but because if he defeats Vulture, Tony Stark then will give him A+ and return the suit. Not to do the right thing, but to show off before big bad grumpy Iron Man and prove to him that he is wrong. P.P.S. Josh Keaton is da best!

I have never once felt bad for MCU Spidey not feel any emotions of sadness for him. Tobey SM lost a lot of people on the way friends, lovers and family. TASM imo has great emotional moments. The scene where he saves the kid on the bridge. Brings him back to his dad. He stares at the father bond son relationship they have and even through his mask you can tell he misses it and it pains him that he’ll never have it again. And for the whole “If you’re nothing without this suit you shouldn’t deserve it” shit. Why don’t you ask “Why are you wearing the suit in the first place?”

This spider-man takes too many ques from miles in the comics, so much so that it improved the miles spider movie. Because they couldnt use most of miles story and had to get creative. (which made it a better movie) But now spider man doesnt feel like spider man he feels like miles Parker almost. Peter didnt have a super hero mentor, but miles did he kinda had multiple of them. Peter is supposed to have a life mentor (uncle Ben) and lose him. It is supposed to directly impact his life but most of all it should direct him and impact him as a hero for the better. The closes thing I could see of them doing this is killing iron man and that would technically hit some of the marks. But for the wrong reason and really wouldn't feel right even if it would both impact the audience and Spider-man. Because iron man isnt the best role model in life. Even though he has proven to be a good hero for the most part (but like I said peter needs a life mentor not a hero mentor)

Spider-Man is someone who constantly quips while in the middle of a fight, and gives you this reassurance that he'll win. In Iron Man 3, meeting Harley softened him as a person. In Age of Ultron, he wanted to protect the entire world (though it failed).
