No country says to its ambassador “hum apkay khilaf sazish kar rhe han”. They ‘interfere’ (which was written in nsc meeting), people conspire, and that’s where you see all of a sudden there comes no confidence motion, pti politicians, mqm and other coalition partners do what they were supposed to do. Why? Khan was already losing his battle what was the point then?

42:07 Respectfully disagree sir. The British would obviously say that cause lower pay is in their interest, multiple studies have proven education and good pay reduces corruption while lack of either contributes to corruption. Even today caste is sighted as reason to oppose affirmative action / raising wages / improving working conditions. The rationale of the privileged being that "they" don't need any better, it's "their" own doings that are responsible for the way things are.

That lower wages are responsible for corruption in the first place and any privileged class keeps wages low as it benefits them. I understand Hussain's point about the existence of corruption, but not him bringing up British justifications without rebuttals. The British Raj economically exploited the colonies and to justify exploitation like low wages to their own people, the British elite spin narratives like "corruption is in their blood". Meaning wage increase isn't required or won't do any good, this ofcourse is BS.

Haqqani Sb has a strong command on politics, history and economics. Its our misfortune that such an educated and knowledgable person was brought under unneccessary controversy during his tenure as ambassador. We need such bright minds in our system.
