@kyfaydfsoab Mainstream brands. In the early 2000s hip-hop fashion was essentially just repurposing sportswear and oversizing your clothes. There were few brands dedicated to hip-hop fashion or Streetwear. We had to take from brands that weren't inherently cool, and make them cool.

It always has fascinated me coming across self proclaimed "stylists" with their mood boards consisting of two to three genuinely unique archive or influential pieces, and then just completely ruining it with an ironic tee or an outdated hoodie. Especially with the Seaggs vector pack being so widely available now. It's great that he made it easier for smaller brands and designers to articulate their ideas to manufacturers, but with the good it has brought a lot of bad.
