This happens when you work only for money and not because you care for a cause or love the work you do.

Agree with all of your points. His frequency of movies is his biggest problem. Another big problem is that Akshay has stopped working with other great actors and big names. He has become a bit self-centered, with his movies only focussing on him in the limelight, while the other actors are just there to fill up space. You look at his most successful movies (Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiya, Welcome, Bhagam Bhag, Jaan-E-Mann), he worked with great directors and great actors such as Paresh Rawal, Suneil Shetty, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Govinda, Vidya Balan and they all came together to make a great movie, allowing him to shine in his role too. Also, he is just playing Akshay Kumar in all of his movies, rather than playing a character and the role, something he used to do so well when he was successful. We used to see him in different roles, but now he just plays the preachy, indestructible, patriotic Akshay Kumar in all of his movies. You feel like ki uski sab movies are the same, so his movies don't excite the audiences anymore.

Film frequency is a big factor. For example, even Tom Cruise is doing only action genre for past decade but the quality of experience in his films is just amazing and also one movie in 1-2 years of period.

Iam his biggest fan and love his films however one thing he can do is reduce to one or two films a year. Absence creates attraction, the lesser you are available, the more people value you. Same thing for films. I really hope he comes back with full force ❤

Quality > Quantity. The less you make, the better you work on what you make. If you put out 4 films in a year, you'll be exhausted and your lack of effort will be visible on the screen, the characters you're playing will start to feel similar. On the other hand, making 1 film a year and bringing change in personality of the lead character in every film will make the character memorable

Dhanush also makes 5 movies per year..but what he did right is doing so many genres .like romance, drama , political movies and also doing movies in other languages in bollywood and telugu too

Akshay has a great quality of converting a simple line into an iconic comic dialogue, just look at this "Aurat ka chakkar babu bhaiya" it is a very simple line but how he delivers the line on screen is his quality. I think the only genre which can revive his career is comedy genre with a good storyline. Hopes on Hera Pheri 3 😁

The last time I saw Akshay doing comedy was in Good News😢 Also he did a film like 2.0 which had great character depth. Nowadays he is just busy romancing girls his daughter’s age. Also the topic of patriotism isn’t essentially bad however when such themes are forced down to the audience to the point that it just sounds preachy and poorly made, then it becomes a problem.

Would like to see more of your explanative type videos. You seem to be very good at giving reasons and such.

His cameo in Action Hero was better than his recent movies. His comedy is so natural.

Very well-made video, from one true AK fan to another. I would love for you to add one point here, which I have been noticing since Sajid Khan told the world about Akki during the making of Heyy Baby, and it connects with Point No. 2 in your video. Akshay Kumar reads his lines from a prompter in every scene. He does not memorise and act (like what he is supposed to do). These days, all his speaking shots are close-ups, taken from an angle behind the character he is talking with, and you can see his eyes reading the lines. He is not even looking at the actor to whom he is talking (that's why the shot is taken from behind the character/actor standing in front of him) to give us the illusion that he is looking at the person and delivering his lines like a professional actor - Lack of Effort - as very well pointed out by you, has never been more apparent. All his movies in the last few years have been plagued by this. I miss Akshay Kumar from Garam Masala, Desi Boyz, Bhagam Bhaag, Kambakkht Ishq, and so many more.

The biggest reason is that he is 55 years old .

Akshay was actually a satire artist. Baby, Rustam, Bhool Bhulaiyya, Khatta Metha and Janwar were my favorites but I hope Phir Hera Pheri will definitely revive the Khiladi.

He was the most successful actor in box office, abe kya phook ke aaya hai, sooryavanshi was his first movie to cross 200 cr. No box office, no opening day record, no ATG. Akshay ke pass sirf quantity hai tbh.

Looking at present Akshay, i can't believe he is the same guy that used to had me in stitches in his every comedy movie. These are all genuine points

He has seen worse than this in his career. He is the one who has strong mind. He should avoid doing social experiment movie like Raksha Bandhan, PRC, Laxmi. Ram Setu was exceptional movie but got bad response just because some people hates him unnecessary. He will bounce back for sure. He keeps changing himself always with movies. He is one of the versatile actor in industry

Akshay kumar acting in raksha Bandhan was epic He gave a brilliant solo performance overall the movie was great but a bit too short and could have been easily expanded on several moment it was just 1hr 45 min and it completely connects to the audience and gets you emotional and you may even cry But many people didn't realize about this movie due to poor promotion or I don't that was the movie that deserved hit maybe not a superhit And even selfie was good but it was a remake so can't argue with that

Raksha Bandhan was a really bad movie, probably one of the worst movies from Akshay kumar. There were so many unnecessary attempts to bring out comedy and emotions in the whole movie with a very Poor writing. I wasn't able to wacth even the 40 min. of the movie. results are visible in it's Imdb ratings (5.2)

you are very right vishal bhai, i myself am a big fan of akshay sir but i didn't like his acting skills in his recent movies, no wonder akshay sir is a wonderful actor but as you said akshay sir has to change the story of his movie and also there is a need to pay attention and give some time to his acting, so that we too can see their hard work and go to the theater again for them.

I am big akshay kumar fan and used to watch his all movies in theatre but i skipped his last 6 films (didn't watched on OTT as well) just because lack of dedication. He is not giving his 100% effort that's what I felt. In gold movie he tried bengali accent at the beginning but after that in whole movie he was just speaking normal hindi, he couldn't carry the character throughout the film, If there was Amir or ranveer instead of him then I am sure they would practice the language and could have pulled off the bengali character much better then Akshay. So that's the only reason I think that his biggest fan's like me felt that he is not giving justice to the characters he plays now a days and that's why people stopped watching his films. But i am sure he will bounce back in few years from now.

I am a big fan of Akshay kumar... His comedy files are at the top of my favorite movie list.... But now a days Akshay kumar is running behind money... And there is no excitement left between the audience to see akshay kumar because its like his films comes every month... He should focus more on quality not quantity, he should take a break of atleast a year to make the audience curious about where he has gone like Srk did and back with a banger like pathaan.

As I analyzed the rise of Pathan closely and I discovered two important details: One is the selective use of movie by the audience is abstract representation of there inclination toward larger than life movie. Second thing is that audience is having affirmative relations to the cinematic universe. They are just ready to watch these movies in repeated mode,,, and not even giving a chance to remake movies😊 Akki fall will continue,, if you know the list of his upcoming movies....then only BMCM seems the bigger project..He must tie up with already existed cinematic universe,,, probably with YRF Spy universe or Loki universe😊

The South director needs the time of an actor of at least 8 months and some of them ask for 1 year Chakki Kumar can't give that because he have to make remake films 😆

You have pointed out valid reasons. I would like to add one more point. Akshay is doing lots of "remake" movies which audience don't want to see in theater. BP :- remake Selfiee :- remake Kathputali:- remake Next film jo aa rahi hai wo bhi south ki ek film ki remake hai. Why akshay is so obsessed with remakes? This is also a reason for his downfall.

Ram setu is the shittiest movie of akshay. For the whole time I was like, WTF is going on? Even though the start was promising and the topic was itself very gripping, the movie just went downhill after that and nobody could handle the cringefest. 😢

I use to be a huge fan of Akshay Canada Kumar during my school days. But now as i can see his Greed, Chatukarita and all i don't even want to see his face forget about watching his movies.

There is nothing wrong with being political.

He'll forever be my favourite actor! His time from late 90s till 2014-15 is unbeatable. He is an amazing actor who went downhill just cause he wanted to experiment with some new genres. But he's a good human being and a great actor. No one can touch akshay kumar in comedy rules. The guy gave us the best memes as well! ❤️

Every person has ups and downs in his career, people gets opportunity to point finger on one's downfall. There is no formula for success. Good films often fail and some no-brainer without real acting gets to 1000-crore club. So we have to keep trying, sometime we succeed, most of the time we may fail, buy the key is to keep going with conviction.

One word "REMAKES". Frequently we have seen that the tag of remake can destroy even a brilliant actor. After the pandemic people look for content specially considering that the industry have to compete with oot India as well as ott global. So the story, visuals and music, dialogues and direction have to be topnotch

Idk about BMCM, but i don't think housefull 5 will be successful, it may be a semi hit that too due to the franchise factor, housefull franchise has been getting worse with each movie, OMG 2 is releasing on OTT and I also doubt about HP3 due to Farhad Samji, it will be a hit no doubt but it will lack the feel which was in previous 2 movies

Akshay has gone through tougher phases in his career. I am sure he will overcome it & he will be rocking the box office as always. We shouldn't deny the fact that this man has struggled a lot & he is really a self-made superstar. Such tough periods do happen to all actors. This man is a hardworker no matter how many flops he has given. He does his job & he helps people painting an income. We have faith on him. His fans are simply asked to support him no matter what happens. I personally stand by him.
