Explores the specifics of Byzantine architecture: how architects of the Eastern Roman Empire ‘turned around’ and used classical canons in their way, how their innovations have come down to us, and where the boundaries of style lie.
The participants of the discussion, held in January as part of the Gifts of Byzantium series, are Andrey Vinogradov, Doctor of Historical Sciences (Higher School of Economics), Svetlana Maltseva, Candidate of Art History (St. Petersburg State University), and Anna Zakharova, PhD in Art History (Moscow State University, State Institute for Art Studies).

Ну вот снова здорова. Когда проболеет отечественная византистика этой манией школы и стиля при такой вопиющей недостаче памятников для исследования? Непонятно. Опора на тип и конструкцию спасет и логику и все эти искусствоведческие стиле ощущения. Якобсон форева))) не проще ли всех этих рассуждений в темноте) взять за основу т.н. правило Муцопулоса. Заметьте, сугубо столичное в силу сложности конструктивного решения и декоративного эффекта.
