And then Rod Roddy after 1986
Watching this again, I chuckled to myself when I saw the star wipe. 😂
first time since bob's last show that the original come on down theme was ever heard.

Hole-In-One or Two would have been quite the throwback for 80's day. On October 10, 1986, the second chance rule was introduced. Since that day in Price Is Right history, contestants no longer have to sink a putt on their first try. They have a second chance. That is why it is called Hole-In-One or Two.

That's like introducing Card Game since it was known briefly as "New Card Game" or playing 3 Strikes +, or even six-digit Dice Game as Deluxe Dice Game for a dream car (with the sixth digit attached to the side of the game board before becoming embedded within it). Introduced in the '70s, but enhanced in the '80s.
The 1980s is the best decade and my favorite 1980s song is "Gloria" by Laura Branigan, my favorite 1980s arcade game is Donkey Kong Jr., Mario Bros. and BurgerTime and my favorite 1980s blockbuster movie is Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).

Nice, Star Wars Return of the Jedi was good but I loved Back to the Future. That is my favorite 1980s movie!
The one thing that was the most disappointing with that week was how they didn’t play the original theme to TPIR from the 70’s to the 2000’s. That would’ve been perfect.

True, but in the end, Fremantle has their reasons why.

It's Fremantle.

I think 🤔 Fremantle went by the decade when the musical 🎼 cues and what not debuted, and I think 🤔 the updated theme song 🎶🎵 debuted after Bob Barker left, which would've been 2007.
Drew almost had it down (should have used the ECM-51 mike), but George should have dress either like Johnny Olson or Rod Roddy (before the silk jackets).

And Bob Barker had white hair from 1987 onwards. Drew added that in the 90s episode until the end of the decades week.

George Gray, sporting those mid-80s "Miami Vice" pastel colors!

There was a Showcase back then called "Little Known Facts" that begins with a trip to Miami, featuring a "Welcome To Miami" sign that definitely embodies the era, with a slight nod to the 1950s that was common in the actual decade. Check it out on Pluto TV, it's midway through Season 13 (1984-85). The Showcase ends with a red Nissan 300 ZX, too!

Also, a $60,000 Ferrari was offered- on the Kennedy version in 1985! People often forget that aspect of '80s Price, but it faced stiff competition from Wheel/Jeopardy! in syndication.
Back wall was incorrect and the camera moves were not exact.
Pretty marginal that they thought the definition of 80's was "fluorescents + headbands."
