For those that don’t get it, this is in the tradition of The Drew Carey Show, which had several April Fools episodes where things were purposely wrong. You had to pick out all the wrong things for a contest.

All Mistakes/Technical Difficulties: 1:31 not sure if this is intended, but Drew's hair is a mess. 1:50 Overhead Microphone clearly seen, microphone looks fake. 2:21 First huge mistake: Models smash TV screen, glass everywhere. 3:25 As a result of the last error, Drew has the wrong price card. 4:49 Squeeze Play fails to squeeze; Drew has to manually squeeze. 5:50 HUGE Malfunction: Turntable stutters, spins too far, then breaks down; smoke everywhere. 7:04 This time, Drew has no card at all. 7:37 Drew's left sleeve rips close to the shoulder. 7:58 Steam shower starts going with George inside. (Richard takes this to his advantage and jumps in.) 9:18 Oh look, another intrusive microphone. 12:41 George, still soaking wet, is blocked from the camera by ANOTHER camera. 13:03 The green door has to be opened manually. 14:46 Double Prices accidentally opens a bottom compartment full of.... trash? The game still reveals the price at the end. 17:45 The next intrusive camera almost runs straight into George. I think he has to push it away again. 20:54 Super awkward moment: Drew decides to explain how to get tickets in very specific detail, spanning through the entire commercial break (he comes back at 23:01). During all of this, George walks by, and the crew takes down the Big Wheel set. (richard must be having a blast) 25:15 The Contestants' Row screens start malfunctioning, to the point where they have to be shut down and Scott has to write down the numbers on paper. 26:52 Balance Game's huge BBQ Island bag is really just George inside a bag (for some reason). He comes out at 28:09. 29:56 One of the big moments in the show: George displays a huge tennis package, only to suffer injuries at the hands of the tennis balls. Drew gets a random audience member (Crystal) to read his cue card. Another appearance by Scott. 32:27 George is revealed back at the podium with some ice. 32:36 The next trip revealed is New York, and the TV displaying it breaks down. This screen is showing static for the rest of the show. 36:37 Intrusive Microphone #3 37:09 "Hey everybody, look up, as the next prize comes down!" SMASH The platform holding the watches breaks. Also noticeable at this point, the lights in the audience area have not come back on. Foreshadowing for later... 38:25 The model driving the Mustang forgets to break while driving in and destroys the unfortunate Green Door. (They promise Cameron a new car.) 46:11 "So glad finally nothing went wrong..." hahahaha..... 46:17 6 seconds later, a light comes crashing down from the ceiling and all the lights go out immediately after. The color bars finally show up before switching to commercial. Definitely the climax of the show. 49:10 Back from commercial, everyone now has a flashlight. 49:48 Looks like this TV isn't working either... 51:10 While the models are displaying the car, the lights finally come back on. It's not over yet, though... 52:00 Gwendolyn burns a marshmallow and decides that the best thing to do is throw it toward the wooden fence. You can guess what happens next. 57:42 Possibly the biggest error in the entire show: Drew was lied to about the 10,000th event, very disappointed. 57:57 Final malfunction: Directly behind Drew, multiple pieces of equipment fall down from the ceiling. let me know if i missed anything lol

For the TV that displayed the New York trip Earlier, when we come back to the show after the break to the showcase, you can see the TV is somewhat working. It shows the TPIR 10,000 Show logo, but it's still tilted and static-y.

This was truly brilliant. I still remember watching this as it aired. I just couldn’t wait to see what they would do next. Unfortunately, I don’t feel they put this much thought into the production anymore.

I mean, I'm sure they did their due diligence, but with all the 'goofs' I can just see so much going wrong, especially on the more dangerous ones. Like the falling stuff. Which is probably why they are unlikely to do stuff to this caliber again.

I think the 10,000th episode is actually an April Fools joke, the actual 10,000th episode takes like a few months to reach that milestone.

This is hilarious! The technical difficulties and the prizes breaking just had me rolling on the floor 😂😂

This is THE BEST April Fool TPIR of all.love watching it over and over again

The Double Prices gas is by far the absolute funniest and well timed.

A brilliant episode. All those effects done live! You need a top-drawer crew and staff to pull that off. And Richard got into the spirit of things, joining George in the shower!

This was broadcast the day after I had moved into our new apartment in the city of El Cajon which was on March 31, 2011. My now late mom was in hospital recovering from hip replacement surgery she had the day before--on MOVING DAY. I was by myself on this day. But--I wasn't able to watch this April Fool's episode of TPIR as our apartment had not yet been wired for our cable television services.

14:50 Why Double Prizes got redesigned. (probably) 38:28 Is the Best part.

When they get to *the* 10,000th episode in 2022 or 2023, they'll no doubt reuse that graphic.

I think this episode might be the first Price Is Right episode maybe, but this is still my #1 Price Is Right episode out of over 9,000 episodes and my favorite part is when the lights came down after Molly got her way to the showcases.

This brings back the nostalgia. People debate weather it’s 2006 or 2007 where 2000’s kids are cut off, I have to willingly agree it’s 2006

The lineup itself is an April Fools joke. All games are 1-prizers (with the minuscule exception of the $7 in Lucky $even), and two of the games had already been played during the week: Side by Side on March 28 (5501K) and Balance Game on March 29 (5502K).

Two minutes into the show and I realize that this episode has been restricted to those with an IQ of 30 or less.

In the 1970's, TPIR model Janice Pennington was modeling a dishwasher when the set broke, and Holly hallstrom modeled a refrigerator that wouldn't close.
