@@mfspectacular No, there isn't. As a nation we were unprepared for civilian aircraft that operated within the United States to be used offensively. It was not something people thought was possible, and no-one had prepared for. The military didn't even have radars facing toward the continent and Air Traffic Control spoke entirely different terminology to the Air Force. They hadn't ever needed to work together. The terrorist plot was not responded to in time, as terrorism was so infrequent in the 2000's USA that even the minuscule threat of the Animal Liberation Front was briefly on par with neo-nazi mass shootings. Politically-motivated violence had dropped constantly since the late 90's, and the government had no reason to think the single worst attack ever was brewing during the most peaceful years the USA had experienced in a century. It was a non-concern, that turned out to be the single most deadly threat we faced at that moment. God rolled the dice, and we critically failed. Bush was just president at the time.

2:34 To add to the Lincoln Kennedy connection; Lincoln was killed in the Ford theatre while Kennedy was killed in a ford car. Lincoln had a secretary called Kennedy while Kennedy had a secretary called Lincoln. More teniosly, they both interacted with the flag of the civil war Union Irish brigade. Lincoln was gifted the flag at the White House while Kennedy gifted the flag to the Irish Parliament during his visit in 1963.
