Mon anniversaire est en vovembre, aussi! The videos explaining the differences between en and dans are really helpful to me. I'm using an online French app in addition to your videos, and the app has been using en and dans without an explanation and it's been driving me crazy! Thank you for all that you do! Ernest

Re the example " Je mange en cinq minutes " . the English translation given here would not mean , as seems to be suggested , it took five minutes to eat , but instead" I will eat in five minutes time " .
This was very helpful! Thank you 🙏🏻 I was wondering, would you consider doing videos that are about listening only? To help identify the different sounds and words without the text?

I am confused by how the phrase "en train de" changes the meaning of the verb. Help!
@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane
3 жыл бұрын
We use "être en train de" followed by the infinitive of the verb to emphasize it. We don't have "I am eating" in French, only "I eat" so if you want to say that you are doing it at the moment, you can use "être en train de" ;)

I am not sure why you would use "en reunion" and not "dans une reunion" when physically she is at the meeting. In your video on dans, your example was dans un avion, meaning physically being in the plane. I am confused.

But the meeting is not a physical place, you can have a meeting anywhere ;) But you can say "dans la salle de réunion"
