He has made clear to His disciples that He demands to be loved above all other relationships, including parents and children (Matthew 10:37). Only God could make such a demand. To love God is the greatest commandment. Those who refuse to choose Jesus first make themselves unworthy of being His disciples. They disobey God's command to love Him with everything they have. Now Jesus deepens the power of this teaching. Most people living in the Roman Empire at this time would have had a vivid picture in mind of condemned criminals carrying the beam of their own cross toward the place of their execution. The Romans forced prisoners to do this as a kind of confession. By participating in their own execution, they were admitting-or, at least, submitting to the claim-that the Roman government was right to put them to death. Christ said this before His own death on the cross. What could He possibly mean when He says that those who do not take up their cross and follow Him are not worthy of Him? Jesus said to those who would follow Him that they must also participate in putting themselves to death. His meaning, in the context of His other teachings, is that a believer must die to themselves. They must be willing to let go of their own agendas and personal dreams and ways of living. They must willingly submit to walking the difficult path of Christ all the way to the end of their lives. That is, all must choose to love Jesus more than everyone else-or not. All must choose to die to themselves and live for Him alone-or not. To choose "not" is to become unworthy of following Him. Jesus does not declare them unworthy for following Him badly. Those who will "not," who refuse, make themselves unworthy because of their lack of complete and total commitment to Him.

My testimony is full of mind blowing things, from atheist drug dealer and addict to loving the Lord and living and working in a Christian enviroment away from the wolves of my former life. He came when i needed Him the most but He was there my whole life and seemingly ever so patient with me. He has answered specific prayers for me and i love Him. Blessings from merry old England.

It contains some real miraculous events and real movements of the HS and my whole life was changed and I'm a new person. I do still struggle with temptations of my old lifestyle but I figured the enemy will keep trying to make me fall. God always touched my heart by taking away false attitudes in the natural as I said I obey you and suddenly I am changed on many areas yet and also can strongly preach to people with self-cosciousness and even holy anger as this God made me do 1-2 times seeing people act with witchcraft and demonic religion. I got super clear with them. God is so good to not be religious but natural if our heart is pure and yes, my heart is pure I can thankfully say so as it is. So I expect wonders from God as next step, wanna see mooore. I take God serious and whatever we pray with faith and obidience, he's gonna do it. Not less I desire. I used to listen a lot to reggae music. I listened to it everyday without knowing the real meaning of "rastafari". I prayed for God to show me where my sins were resting. Sins I had no idea that I was partaking in. After that prayer I went to put on my music, but when I tried clicking the music app on my phone. Right then my finger froze, I couldn't fiscally touch the screen of my phone. It seemed so innocent and I had no idea that music had me in bondage without even knowing it.

AMEN AMEN ... I learned that, too, that in the spiritual sooooo much happens. I used to think it must be in the natural but no it must not so fast. The battle can already be won before we see the results. That let my faith increase. I got strong in comanding demons and even satan clearly with God's word. I don't care. I fight this through. I am so careless about how others do but I love to have faith and oh, we can only see it if we believe it with faith. It is so important for God. I say if ever God tells me I will count each single word from him as granted and I write it down always and daily, maybe 15 pages a day about what God says like he speaks a lot.

I prayed as you said for a job that I really really want and need for this year ( already worked there last year actually and 0 problem with them), they hired back most of my friends but not me… even I prayed, extremely believed and have a good relationship with god. So now I’m very confused and sad

And people then call it fanatic, I stopped talking to people for advice, but God never made me stop, only others would advice me to stop, but I absolutely can not hear any stop from God. The situation is as worst as it could be but my heart is pure and I press on since over 3 years. It is only God keeping that faith in me but wow, that is a real job to do to be in the desert and keep on praying. I interceed sooooooo much. I am the only one interceeding No one else could do. And I just beg God as I got faith for the absolute impossible.

@@jackieVanTine_ I am crying as you say so as it confirms what God speaks daily since I started. I keep interceeding. And same time prayer gets more and more important to me. All this brings me closer to God. And satan would not fight so aggressively against me on all areas if all this would not be of meaning for God. It is a marathon run. I keep interceeding as long as God is making me do that. So often I was in the edge to stop as seeing no hope anymore as everything is so hopeless in the natural but spiritually I almost daily get direction and got God's specific promise even so the situation is quite complicated. Only deep christians could really advice me as no others understand. The religious pharasses adviced me to stop. But those I recognized as they do not love me. So I can shit on their "advice" . 🙂 💪🙏💪🙏💪🙏💪🙏💪🙏💪🙏❤️ Yes, I keep on and would love to one day hive testimony to you about the result. I strongly believe in prayer and only prayer as God allows me to only pray at the moment and nothing else. No other action but pray he says . Need to obey.

It is funny because I tell God a specific prayer about what exact detail and he seems he like he did answer it I am been going through it I am like well they don't have bad words in it maybe I should listen to it or what just Over all going through it I am very like grounded on like no bad word thing and more but when I hear you speak and say instrument christain music I just know God was directly speaking to me I just know it and I start talking to God and I am like ahhh amd off for like when last year like relationship wise not just pray it's hard because i am man maybe this or that but when i did pray these prayer it makes me happy I don't care about like not this anymore when I open the bibile it makes feel Good when read a verse it makes feel wash when I pray I feel like I am floating I just know that's where I belong and I can't deny it

When we notice someone is in a sin, it is not for us to criticize them, but to pray for them for God says we must do good when it is in THE POWER of our hand to do it.

Well said!!! Sometimes He lets us go through storms and they are meant to correct us sometimes to strengthen our faith and sometimes to redirect us! But He controls the storm and He is with us through it :)

What if I don’t know what I want? What if I don’t know what to pray for? I don’t know my talents, gifts, or skills. I don’t know my life’s purpose or my work purpose. I’ve been asking and haven’t heard or felt anything yet. Do I keep waiting? I’m not sure what to do. It’s been a very long time. Please pray for me, sis, and thank you for your words of inspiration.

That is so crazy, she prayed you back to God and now she backslides ... OMG ... now you interceed for her again. Yes, we should be clear and the best wisdom is prayer as we than put not our own opinion on others but put God in them. My decision is to ONLY PRAY as God said, say nothing, PRAY !!!

I was heartbroken as a teenager you know that “first love” feel. I’ll never forget. I prayed to God asking this specific thing: “dear god, I am heart broken right now, I pray one day that I marry an Italian (I’m filipino) woman who knows and serves you” 12 years later after I made that prayer I am married to my wife who is Italian, we have a son (another specific prayer I asked God for as I had trouble with my sperm count) God is good. Ask and you shall receive. Now I have a business that provides my family income, we are praying to get approved for this business loan to make our business more efficient. Pray for us ❤ I must admit though, God will answer your specific prayer right, but it definitely comes with it’s tests and challenges

Been reading a couple of Christian books about fasting and prayer. One book is called atomic power with god through fasting and prayer by Franklin hall and I never knew how much more effective your prayers can be while fasting! Anyways I thought this message sort of relates to that as well.
