This was VERY needed today. I'm in the middle of kicking myself for not getting urgent things done because my ADHD was getting in the way. This happens a lot and I always kick myself and can't seem to get out of the shame for missing opportunities from missing deadlines. Thank you Pastor. ❤ *I didn't hurt others. I hurt myself the most. That's harder to forgive. :(

Forgiveness is made constantly readily available. It’s not something to be obtained for a later time. We torment ourselves thinking God will never forgive us when it’s really ourselves who are unforgiving towards ourselves… Because we have not made peace with the darkness inside. We blame the devil for the darkness. Light doesn’t help you see darkness, however darkness helps you see light. Light helps you see through and what dwells in darkness. However, as time goes by we feel less guilty and then persuade ourselves that it’s God’s forgiveness. When in fact we never had to dwell in shame nor guilt. Because his mercy & grace is made new every morning. Lamentations 2:22-23 - The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. It’s all in the mind. As is our faith.

Jesus, with all His authority and loving power, does the heavy lifting of forgiveness! Jesus has shown me through the Word and His Holy Spirit that He’s the initiator of *all* forgiveness. I’ve made many awful mistakes… He has lovingly walked me through the source of each sin and He separates me from them. He’s the only One who can cleanse us from unrighteousness, reconcile us to Himself, and transform us as a new creation, sanctified from faith to faith. Mind-boggling scandalous grace. He is with us even through the consequences of our mistakes; He doesn’t abandon us! We’re free to give ourselves the grace He has freely given, in Jesus’ name. ❤❤❤❤❤

I really needed this.

My brother aided and abetted in the murder of a prostitute 33yrs ago for which he spent 30 yrs in prison. The prostitute was a young mother; she had parents who loved her. He is a really good guy now. He works hard. But he’s also gotten a lot from my mom and sisters. Lots of attention as well. He’s totally forgiven. No one thinks of him negatively like it never took place. When I was 20 my situation and choices led me to become a dancer when I actually wanted to be an exotic dancer on Broadway. I danced for 20 yrs and left 9 yrs ago. For nine months I was a porn star; that ended 22 yrs ago. I became an RN and yoga teacher while I was still dancing. I didn’t have sex with anyone and I didn’t go nude and turned it into art and I loved making people smile and think bc I didn’t talk like that hat they would think. Both of us deal with residual baggage. But it seems a woman having sex outside of traditional scenarios is way worse for the reputation than a man murdering a WOMAN.

✍🏾What if Jesus was etching tally marks into the sand? What if those men watching Him knew that one of those marks was for him the viewer? What if Jesus put emphasis on the cross marks indicating the fifth mark for each stack? How could she have been caught in the act of adultery all by herself?🤷🏽‍♀️
