I wish the sheikh would upload more often, but i'd still take quality over quantity.

As an indonesian muslimah i would like to say that dowry is not always supposed to be expensive, and you can always choose to celebrate the wedding with just family member so it' s not always required to have a lot of money. I don't know exactly but that man who complain about birth certificate probably have other thing going on, because it sounds like a lame excuse . And we the ummah often make a charity event like mass weddings and circumcize on a regular basis by the amil zakat, even way before that chairman of rajawali have that kind of idea 😂.

That Profit Mohamed (pbuh) quote gave me goosebumps. So well said. May God bless you and your family and everyone reading this. May we all spread love, peace and abundance and may God be pleased with us and show us mercy in the hereafter.

We are so ignorant that we won't achieve high positions in taqwa, knowledge and modesty like Sheikh Hamza because instead of listening to the enrich dialogue we compare who's better and praise our beloved imam because he's Muslim. I have been almost exclusively listening to sheikh hamza yusuf lectures for so long that I have gotten used to his tone and speed of voice and some times I find it hard to focus on the speech of people who elaborate too much lol But I really enjoyed this discussion. Its always good to know other perspectives Alhamdulillah.

The lesson I have learned from this is that hurt people can't help hurt people.

Yes, the religion should never be a cause of the problem. In Islamic bileif, it's the creator who can only give light of faith to a person. Whether some one bileve or not is a matter between him and the creator. Regardless of state of bileif creator will give the provisions in this world. So a bilever should Co exist with similar nature. Allha is "rahman ( kind) " so a bilever should have "rahmaniyath (kindness) ". Hence a bilever cannot harm any one in this world. If every one lives like this, then where is the problem.

Whoever does that has wronged himself (i.e., sinned). It was narrated that Ma’qil ibn Yassaar said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “For one of you to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle is better for him than that he should touch a woman who is not permissible for him.” Narrated by al-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer, 486. Shaykh al-Albaani said in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 5045, that this hadeeth is saheeh. This hadeeth alone is sufficient to deter and to instill the obedience required of us by Allaah, because it implies that touching women may lead to temptation and immorality.

Who invited this bahaie woman?

It feels like the participants except Hamza Yusuf either do not grasp the questions being put to them or lack a deeper understanding of their 'area of expertise'. Their answers sound cliche' and vague, which makes the whole discussion uninteresting. The moderator only makes things worse.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Sheik Hamza Yusuf, but I can't help but see how much more "commercial" he's become with the amount of press he accepts, and his statements, in contrast to how much more unique he used to be in his youth, he's now more of a mainstream talking head. Perhaps he's just using diplomacy and his skills in rhetoric when he compliments people like Klaus Schwab whose sinister views on how "the great reset" should be implemented is frightening to say the least.; and to imply by any stretch of the imagination that Nelson Mandela's attempt at reconciliation was a success, is sure to offend the millions of black South Africans of Azania who actually view him as a sell out. But compared to the other stiff necks on the panel, Sheik Hamza outweighed them quite easily. The Sheik is an invaluable resource of intellect, but he threw the Muslim world under the bus when he was asked how Muslims resolve conflict, and he answered, obviously not very well. I think he could have shown how Muslims attempt to salvage their societies, and how if that work was not being done, he would not himself have been able to stay among the people of Mauritania and benefit from their hospitality and infrastructure. I think he genuinely believes that he can be a conduit between the west and east, which feeds the desire for integration that Muslim immigrants want so desperately and it also gives Middle America a Muslim voice that they can identify with, and possibly even use in defense of America.

Hamzah Yusuf is articulate but it doesn't change the fact that he does believe many things without evidence and his faith is a much bigger leap in logic than the normal "faith" we have in society that he mentioned.
