At the heart of her plan is Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), a form of AI developed by her employer. Unlike conventional AI, AGI possesses the ability to understand, learn, and apply knowledge across a breadth of tasks, offering unprecedented potential in the search for ALS treatments. Despite her employer's apprehension and plans to erase the AI program, Vida decides to assert control over this AGI, weaving together the realms of law, AGI, and medical research in her ambitious pursuit.

You can confuse the AI with philosophy, then it wouldn't know what is good or evil, what is real from what is just 'human perception'. If it gets out of hand, feed it some geek philosophy and some occult.
