nah, the near instant throttle response/higher horsepower of the blown big block is better in this application.

I watched another video of a freestyle event and BroDozer looked like it was slow and lazy, I was very disappointed. So I decided to search KZread for BroDozer and here I am...I can only conclude that the truck must have been hurt or something during that freestyle video I saw, because it looks like a total BADASS in this video...lacking for nothing...except, maybe, a more efficient cooling system(300* coolant temp?!?!). Lol

The only way to get a powerstroke to stay together at that power level is replace it with a duramax.

I KNEW IT, desiel engines have crap tons of torque and that’s why the truck is so damn fast

Big block gas engines are usually around 1:1 hp to torque so 1200hp the torque shouldn’t be far off

@@SSfueled yes of course , good diesel makes clean power at ~15 AFR , gasoline 12-13 , alcohol much lower but still. Did it have cam made for mechanical supercharger ? If not , it might waste air out of exhaust during overlap.

@@SSfueled that dragster looks promising , although with nitrous , but still. Turbos will always make more power but for monster truck screw is nice because they need response for those freestyle tricks.

I agree I’m fine with the dmax platform even if it isn’t my favorite but if your going to make a truck based off a ford body it should have a ford motor

And different is good. Turbo'd engines will always sound muffled and a diesel is usually quieter.

@@Twinfire I like the sound of turbocharged diesels, but they're not all too important when horsepower doesn't matter as much, like in Monster Truck freestyling. In tractor pulling, with categories like the Super Stock or Pro Stock, horsepower is really important (I just have a soft-spot for Diesel Super Stocks :P)
