good stuff! i haven't heard this song in a while and this is what popped up. i love this music, i grew up with this music, i let this music define who i was and, i don't regret it. i think it's great that the next generation still listens to it and finds it interesting enough to use it as inspiration.

This is my favorite song by The Police. It's so raw and haunting. Unfortunately, Sting wanted the band to go in another direction, and make crappy elevator music like his solo efforts. Sting belonged in a band, not a solo act.

I just wonder if the eerie melody was somehow influenced by the introduction of Gordon Lightfoot's more upbeat 1978 song 'Daylight Katy'. Probably many songs have a similar chord sequence.
