Bc I feel like it could be so much more secure if it was a standard across all states. Also in my country as well as in the US you can literally just search someone's full name on google, pay a few dollars and get an address, an ID system should be the least of concerns about privacy.

That, and adrenaline (and therefor stress) is one of the best teaching hormones. So the first few times that a new hunter would go hunting with his family/elders, they would be very stressed, but the stress would help them learn a lot from the situations and remember them clearly to analyze them in their head. As they would get more comfortable, they would still be stressed but to a much lesser degree - there's a sweet spot with adrenaline where it gives you complete focus and helps you to act precisely in intense situations like hunting.

21:49 I was the DD and drive through driver for MANY years, and i perfected drunk wrangling. when we pull up to the speaker, everyone must shut up. anyone who keeps talking, doesn't get food. i point to the front passenger person, and get their order. as soon as they are done, i repeat it to the speaker. then i point to the next person in the back and get their order. as soon as they stop talking, i repeat to the speaker. i repeat this until everyone has ordered. if you don't immediately have your order ready when i point, you get skipped and you go last. if you are last and you don't have your order ready still, you get nothing. it took only one trip where someone got no food, and then it worked perfectly every time after that, regardless of how blackout drunk they were. this is because the speaker picks up BOTH the person telling me what the order is, and my telling the speaker. so the drive through person will hear every order twice, CLEARLY. it was awesome. now that i'm thinking back, it someone was just incapable of ordering food, they got something starchy like fries or popcorn or whatever had the most starch. i don't think i ever actually left someone with no food at all, and i would get something so they couldn't bitch. the ordering system worked so well though, we still order that way and we are all old fucks who hardly drink anymore lol

About the assembled baby idea (as beautifully horrifying as it was), I'm a molecular biologist and I can assure you that it would NOT be that easy. SHH *is* involved in many pathways that have to do with limb growth, symmetry maintenance, etc. but as usual in biology, it's more complicated. There are HUNDREDS more factors and proteins all involved in the definition of even just the fucking tip of your pinky toe. But I love the fact that it was brought up and I'm wondering why Allen knows so much about bio! Is there something I've missed? Edit: nvm it's because of snake penises 👀

    Жыл бұрын

@@Kiever_Sloane Sure! SHH is Sonic Headgehog, which is part of the Sonic family of proteins (that are fundamental for developmental control in certain species). Homeobox genes are instead a whole family of proteins themselves, also fundamental for development. They are both involved in positional control of morphogens, but act differently, and SHH is a single protein. I mean for Allen's plan you would have to overhaul and have complete control (and knowledge btw, which we do *not* have yet 😅) of the entire intertwining gene control network, and that's like, decades in the future unfortunately. But man, I still loved hearing about it from this pod 😂

The fear response was an evolutionary advantage because of safety. Somebody experiencing anxiety and doubt is more likely to hide from a threat instead of engaging it, allowing them to continue on to procreate. On iphone, I use the Summary feature to delay a lot of notifications like work emails, discord, etc. that way I can still find out thing happened, and it's in a date controlled "folder" of other things that happened at the same time, and I can dismiss all notifications in a summary one summary at a time.

The thing with the hemp industry in the US is the fact that there are different isomers of THC which are psychoactive, but only delta-9 THC is federally capped. Other forms of THC are technically still scheeduled, but delta-8 THC is able to be sold in most states as "hemp". It's usually synthetically produced from CBD and often products that claim to to be Delta-8 THC fudge their testing and contain a soup of cannabinoids.

Many people who live in cities like NYC almost never ride in cars, and even in the few times they do, they don't necessarily go through a drive through. The only drive through I have been through is a drive through bank. And I guess some drive through alcohol shops in Australia.

For the record, if it was a big fan leaf, odds are it isn’t stuck to anything, they press nice 👍 Edit: also, when people mention a cannabis plant is hemp, they typically mean it’s a male plant and it won’t grow proper flowers which would be, you know, good for getting the job done. Just makes a bunch of pollen

Hemp is a marijuana plant with less than .3% thc. I have a friend who grows hemp professionally for cbd health products. A medical marijuana plant has 14-30% thc. The plant sex doesn’t matter.

@@It-b-Blair males don't make much thc, no matter their genetics, so they'd never be considered weed. For 2 female plants though, there's no way to tell if it's hemp except for testing thc amount in the buds. so if hemp is legal, all male cannabis plants are always legal

@@nrok113 ok. Keep smoking whatever you got m8 👍 males inundate your females with seeds, it’s not about thc content in males. It’s all illegal in zero tolerance states. Always research your specific laws and regulations.

this is in regards to Allen's comment about a reminder for notifications, I have a pixel 6 and with the Google software they have a little reminder function baked in, I think Samsung has this feature too. if you long press on a notification, you can have it set to remind you again at a certain interval of time. The Pixel phones are defaulted to remind you in 1 hour. if you click the little clock icon on the notification. I find myself coming across the same issue you guys talked about so it really helps me out a lot
