There are moves and abilities that make hitting ghost type with fighting and normal moves possible.

Dark ghost is further only weak to fairy types, which do not exist in Emerald. Also he gets hit only vs oder sleuth and mold breaker for fighting and normal moves.

If you were wondering, Bite is a Dark type move cause Dark stands for Evil (as it is called in Japanese) and it is "evil" to bite someone.

Well I can definitely tell that you’re learning. One thing I would highly suggest is to get familiar with immunities. Some damage is always better than none, so even if a random secondary typing causes a move to not be very effective, it’s always good to be sure that it’ll do something. Also remember that nothing is sacred and stronger trainers might have coverage moves that decimate whatever is immune to their typical moves.

One of my favorite creators playing an offshoot of one of my favorite games, all those hours of rogue like training

One thing that's super easy to miss about the Winona fight is that Roost actually does more than just heal the enemy. They also lose their flying type for the turn, meaning your ice fang was no longer super effective. That's why you were doing way less damage with it each time after the first. It's something a lot of people don't realize, so I just figured I'd mention it for you. Loved the video, and I'm excited to see what you put out next!

Hi skoochy boo, little tip for other Pokemon challenges I'm sure you've already heard, but there's this secret effect in Pokemon games called STAB, same type attack boost, if your pokemon is the same type as the move it's using, it gets a big boost

Nice video! If you're a fan of roguelikes and want to try some action platformer ones, I recommend 20XX, a Megaman X inspired roguelike, (its sequel 30XX is in early access and is also really good and regularly updated). There's also a Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow roguelike hack which is pretty good.

I remember when my little brother encountered a shiny Rattata BEFORE he was given pokeballs. Needless to say, he stared at it for five minutes before running away. Don’t worry though. The universe was fair and he found another shiny Rattata shorty after getting pokeballs haha

Actually dark ghost has no weakness unless it's New gen because of fary types because spiritomb is the same type as sableye and it can't be hit because of it's ghost dark type very hard to deal with as well as an electric type with levitate kind of nuty ngl

Brawly must have had foresight on his pokemon - normally ghost types are immune to both fighting and normal moves, regardless of secondary typing.

I never played a pokemon game like this one, but the vid made it very enjoyable to watch!

Correction Skonch! Sableye cannot be hit by fighting type moves due to his ghost typing (Ghost type pokemon can't get hit by fighting types)
