Hey Ricky - love your channel! I keep things simple by taking your advice from a couple of years ago - I’ve consolidated my cards down to a RBC Visa Avion. I use those points for hotels and book with AC or other carriers when the deals are good - and I’ve used their auction process to get cheap upgrades. Happy traveling everyone!!

Excellent!
Marriott has been devaluing its program too rapidly
I just look for paid but discounted first/class tickets originating in other countries and use my frequent flyer miles to book positioning flights to the origin of these tickets and my hotel points to book airport hotels so I can arrive a day or two early before the "main event".
A good feature of Best Western Hotels rewards plan is that they give some pretty large bonus points periodically if you take your rewards in points, rather than air miles with their partners, such as Alaska Air; but go ahead and earn those bonus points and you can convert them later to air miles, win!
Don't sleep on Turkish. Just booked IAD-VCE roundtrip with a free 2 day stopover in IST (yes 5 star hotel covered by the airline) for just 90k miles in biz.
i would loveeee to see you do a review on the Scene+ rewards program
You keep pushing ANA business class but there's never any availability from aeroplan

@@samt0rx Have you had success with ANA? JAL is fine for last minute F/J, but had no luck with aeroplan

They release 360 days in advance and they get scooped up fast. If you don’t plan ahead you won’t find availability.

Last minute or one year out is best 👍🏼
4:32 You forgot one of the most important points of all: Hyatt is still the only hotel chain who 🤨 *doesn't have a Stay 4 Nights, Get the 5th Night Free (Marriott & Hilton)* or *Stay 3 Nights, Get the 4th Night Free (IHG Hotels)* program. Also, I noticed the majority of their rooms in lower categories (1-4) don't even come with a microwave, for starters. Just a heads up.

Well, Hyatt has always not offered this benefit so I wouldn't say it was a recent change.
And this is why I'm completely out of travel point cards, FCK em.
Thanks
Hey Ricky, Love your channel! Do you have any tips on traveling during the peak traveling seasons? For ex. I was eyeing a ticket from Toronto to Seoul for 55k Aeroplan points but I had to reschedule to a later month which now is +100k points. Appreciate you fam.
I’m starting to accumulate in BA Avios after maximizing Aeroplan over the years.
Hey Ricky! Do you have any more news on the new changes to Aeroplan this year? I currently have 105K with Amex and im wondering if I should pull the gun and book a flight to MNL with Eva Air Business, or keep saving for the 130K to NRT in First Class
I recently did Mariott all-inclusive 5 nights in Costa Rica for 202,000 Mariott Bonvoy points. Booked in late 2022. Probably the last time I'll ever get that value.
I can’t even find availability for 80k
When you book 1 way with points. Do you book on same booking for return?
Trying to figure out of Ricky has a hidden lavalier mic or a sensitive mic just off camera 🤔

Lol I have never seen business class from Vancouver to Tokyo for 55k Aeroplan points. Not sure what he is smoking.

@@PrinceofTravel can you help me find these. I’ve been trying for a month for next year and still have no luck :( what strategies do you use to find the tickets?
@donaldn.5561

Hi Ricky, please show me where you can find such good Aeroplan deals flying from YVR to NRT one way in business for only 55K. I just deemed 770k Aeroplan points for 3 Premium Economy round trip tickets between YYZ and HKG (for August 2023). And that is after using 3 Priority Rewards which gave me 50% off discounts. In other words, without discount those 3 tickets would have costed me 1.54M Aeroplan points to redeem. Aeroplan has devalued their points so much which is an absolute robbery. Or am I missing something here?? Ricky, please advise!!!

Good for sign up bonus if you combine with the first and second year free night and if your lucky enough to get a retention offer, but other then that unless your happy with a standard plan room in a low end old residence or country inn and suites (one of their bottom end hotels which is within $15 of the annual fee per night on average usually, to get that free night ) you’ll have a hard time finding a good use case to keep the card after the 2nd year they way they’ve devalued their program.
😂😂😂
Ricky sounds like an AI LoL
I feel like this channel is a little too obsessed with japan/ANA now. I get japan is a popular destination but it’s not the be all end all

It's a good thing... everyone is focused on ANA/Japan and the Maldives... So everywhere else is wide open.
I never can't find any business class or first class seats available. He is promoting airlines industry. He get favorable treatment from them just following him for some information.

For some reason it sounds really high pitched on AirPods but sounds fine on my laptop. There are some high frequencies in the sound, possibly introduced by AI sound editors (or my airpods are toasted)
