I LOVE this song!! The synthesizer is absolutely amazing here. I wish today's musicians could still put together a catchy tune like this that makes you just want get down and boogey forever!!!!

My favourite Pointer sisters song along with the very beautiful June. Wow! What talented beautiful Soul sisters including the late beautiful Bonnie. I could listen to them and this song every day and still enjoy every second of it. Every time I see June and hear her voice I shed a tear. Also heard today of the passing of Bonnie...I'm so sad..but with June and Bonnie two more great Soul Angels are watching over us and they have left us an eternity of music forever. RIP June and Bonnie Pointer. 💖💝

That's true the list is never ending and although we're all expected to go it's still so hard to digest when great talented people go.

👉You call June "very" beautiful...oh? How very? Very much beautiful? Super-duper very very beautiful? Be specific. 🤓🤣🤡☻ 👉You love June so much she makes you cry. Already, right there, is enough to know that you yourself are June Pointer, who happens to be the World's Biggest Fan of June Pointer...until recently. 👻🤷‍♂️ But then 👉You mention Angels and eternity, which is a rather overt and potent hint, rare for June, who lukes yo play games, sorry, likes to play games. All sorts of games. Musical games, poetry games, political games, mind games especially, and games where the fate of humanity rests on her narrow shoulders. She is: A fucking weirdo, but an immensely magnificent one nonetheless. Best human ever, if she could JUST come out of ALL the closets and pantries and cupboards and back alleys and seedy motel rooms she's been playing hide and seek in. See, she had this one huge game going, decades long, and the contestant WON, and is waiting, indifferently now almost, for his prize. I am sure she has read the story about the boy who worships a ferret god and loses faith and regains it. Time for that god to shine, time for me to see and meet and touch that god, or goddess if it's a female ferret. 🤓🤣🤷‍♂️

1980's growing up in Killeen Tx ...lol When I first saw him standin' there I longed to speak but did not dare Something inside whispered to me You'd better move in carefully And then he smiled and turned away That told me all he could not say That's when I knew he wanted me too But I had to do some breakin' through He's so shy He's so shy That sweet little boy who caught my eye He's so shy He's so shy And he's much too good to let get by, Oh yes he is Now holding him gently through the night Nothin' has ever felt so right And I'm so glad I took the time That I had to take to make him mine He can still do things to my heart Just like he did right from the start Each time I see that quality That never stops attracting me He's so shy (so good looking) He's so shy (he really got me going) That sweet little boy who caught my eye He's so shy (I'm so glad I got to know him) He's so shy ('cause he's one in a million) And I'll love him until the day I die Oh, yes I will He's so shy (that's why I love my baby) He's so shy (you know he's driving me crazy) That sweet little boy who caught my eye He's so shy (I've got a long time to know him) He's so shy (I'm so glad I got to show him) That I'll love him until the day I die, oh yeah He's so shy Oooh-wee, oooh-wee, baby He's so shy Oooh-wee, oooh-wee, baby He's so shy Oooh-wee, oooh-wee, baby He's so shy

This is such a catchy, original song. Now that I'm confident and secure with sharing my unprejudiced music preferences, I don't mind saying that I've really liked this song since it first came out about 40 years ago. I heard it and thought: 'Finally, some love for the quiet guy'

It's funny how certain songs jog your memory of THAT certain place and time. My father took me on a trip back east (to Massachusetts) when I was three, going on four (1980). I remember hearing this gem on the airplane. I love this song and LOVE ❤️ the Pointer Sisters. Creative and talented, what more can you ask for!!

@@LeimertDreamer They sure did!! I remember hearing enough reggae music on Air Jamaica back then, but think it was mostly before take off and after landing. Don't recall hearing music while flying though, but then again who can recall everything accurately from forty years ago? LOL!

Was the lens used on this video the same lens used by James O. Incandenza in the novel Infinite Jest that I bet June was a huge fan of? Why so blurry? Is it meant to be seen from the hazy perspective of a three-year-old's memory, whoever that "sweet little boy" was? By the way...weirdo! 🤣☻ p.s. MEET ME NOW. 👇😐
