We tried to see everyone possible in OC and LA. Bands like The Jazz butcher, Echo and the Bunnymen, MIdnight Oil, The Chamelians UK, Plimsolls, The Jam, on and on and on. Great times, clothes, and shoes, TOTALLY. Shoes and hair were it man. We use to spend 30 minutes drinking beer just doing our hair before we went out. Girls, parties, all of it. Yes, now I am 54 and see the time in my face and get those moments where I miss those days but know we can't go back. It stings sometimes. My cousin Pat used to work at a club "The Starwood" out in LA. I live in NJ but I also lived in LA for a bunch of years. Anyway, Pat always used to talk about this great band, the Plimsouls that would play at the Starwood back in the day. I eventually moved back to Jersey full time. About a year ago, I was on my front lawn and one of the neighbors passed by with his wife and we got to talking. He mentioned he lived in LA and I told him I did too years ago, and we talked about some of the old clubs and I mentioned the Starwood where my cousin worked. Then he told me he used to play there a lot with his band. I asked the name of his band and he said the Plimsouls!! Long story short, my neighbor less than a block away, here in Toms River NJ is freaking Eddie Muñoz!

It was great to be a teen when this came out. I loved the Plimsouls so much that on a Saturday in the summer of ‘83 I bought a ticket to the matinee showing of Valley Girl and then stayed after for both the early and late evening showings as well. And then still went again later in the week another two times after that. Girls did their hair, wore panty's not dental floss up their ass, style was everywhere and I knew my gfs favorite color, bday and her middle name before having sex(sometimes)! Our musicians could write a bridge, and people were calmer and smarter! You really could go for your dreams back then. There wasn't 10 billion people on the planet! There was only 3 channels on the TV and no internet or black Webb! We had Coleco with "donkey Kong!" And the president was an asshole back then to!

@@712rocketman Holy shit ! How kewl is this?? Wonder if Eddie still plays professionally? What a sound. If I were you, I'd go buy a LOTTO tix. This kind of lightning in a bottle doesn't happen every day. Btw, Peter Case is still around. I see his name on shows in and around the LA area. Those were the best days of my life.

@@michaelwolf6424 Yep. Eddie still plays. He tours with a revamped Plimsouls lineup (no Peter Case unfortunately) and has his own band as well. Check out the Plimsouls FB page. Eddie is active on the page. Seems like a great guy.
Miss those good old times like totally 💯 .
Absolutely love this band. If you guys enjoy the Plimsouls, I suggest you checkout the Nerves. It’s was Peter Case’s first band.
Great underated band
I first heard this song in 1983 on Valley Girl and loved it. Heard it again on One Tree Hill season 4 episode 17 and my heart melted. It took me right back into the warm and loving arms of the 80's. Thank you Mark Schwan for such an awesome TV series and song choices.

Great, Great under rated song from the 80’s
Valley girl had a good soundtrack
Great band!
I knew a record store clerk that got to see these legends at a house party back in the 80s.
I was lucky enough to interview that guy for a magazine 20 years ago. I still think about some of things he said. He's a true visionary.
GREAT song by a GREAT largely unrecognized band - Dave the pond guy I agree - WAYYY ahead of their time -saw them in LA once or twice in 81-82.
SOOOOOOOO Underrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Valley Girl!!
THANK YOU #PeterCase
They were great live!!!
My favorite song from the ‘Everywhere At Once’ album! 🌹
I was 19 when this song came out ,it brings me back, and also stands the test of time.

The 80s were a Blast Like Today
love the song, love the film
A masterpiece.
Every time I hear this song I instantly think of the Valley Girl film and wished I could have been a teen in the '80s, just to have the experience and taste that magic! 🌟 🌌🌌🌌

It was great to be a teen when this came out. I loved the Plimsouls so much that on a Saturday in the summer of ‘83 I bought a ticket to the matinee showing of Valley Girl and then stayed after for both the early and late evening showings as well. And then still went again later in the week another two times after that. That was the only way to hear those songs because there was no soundtrack album and the new Plimsouls album wouldn’t be out for months.

Ahhhh.... Randy and Julie kissing at the club in Hollywood... Valley Girl.. great movie for all us 80’s teens. Reminds me of being in High school and driving to Hollywood and cruising for cute boys.
Gorgeous song!
love it. Sounds great

...my older sisters taught me cool...after the movie Valley Girl I developed my record label...
Right now I'm drunk I know but they should have been huge.
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
This song belongs in a dark, smokey club.
My father turned me on to this band whén i was younger and i hated them... Fast forward until i started playing music and started appreciating music this band always has at least 2 songs on any playlist. Definitely underrated and unappreciated group.. Should have been bigger than they were.
YES!
And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. ~Jesus Revelation 1:17-18
For sure..
Forever

For those out there who missed the eighties sorry you missed it better luck next time truly the last great decade for California, music, and the rest of the country, rest in peace 1980s
Never morirá 💘
So good live.
I first heard this song on the movie valley girl, that starred Nicolas Cage for the first time. Since then, the oldest story in the world, is one of my all-time favorites when it comes to cool ass music I'd seen the plimsouls play dozens of timesin and around the Los Angeles scene in the late 70s early 80s. But this song, will go down in my brain history, forever and ever. By the way, I have broken probably 30 or 40 cherries to this song, get down b******..........

Ahhh, the 80s and falling in and out of love! We actually talked on the phone, FOR HOUR'S! Rick was more than alive it was the thing, the best and coolest! But somethings happened here! My kid listens to EVERYTHING but most singers are a ENHANCED puppets with egos threw the roof! Yeah, I'd go back in a second!
