Wasn't there an interview where they were talking about something that actually went wrong during the show and raspberries spilled all over the ground? Because I distinctly remember watching that.

oh hell yeah the 'wrong' list is exhasutive and theres always additional things that could go wrong that are probably evaluated the hell out of to the point where certain things are an automatic showstop, the sheild falling down for example is a great practical gag but if he stands to close he will get hit earlier in the swing and get seriously hurt its a stage manager and set builders nightmare i cant imagine what the scenic artist and props people get payed for repainting and repairing every day though hahahha

The pacing is just a work of genius. The thing's mildly amusing and definitely kicks up a notch as the dead guy exits himself. But when Florence hits the deck, the LOLs just don't stop until they get her up through the window -- which is just it time because my gut's fit to burst and I need a damn breath. Such props to that lady, the physicality of that performance is really fantastic.

That's part of the... lore? of the fictional society of actors who puts on the play (the Connely Politechnic Drama Society). The other members are weekend actors and passionate amateurs, with varying degrees of both ability and interest, but she is a theater kid with serious professional ambition, so she overacts a bit but tries to keep up a professional polish.

The reason for the circus training is because we would do it once, whereas they have to do the entire thing 8 times a week.

+sn8f1st I saw the closing night on Jan 31st and it was awful. The Play That Goes Wrong is one of the funniest things I've seen on stage, and that's saying something because I really can't stand slap-stick comedy. But on the other end of the spectrum, Peter Pan Goes Wrong was one of the worst things I've had the displeasure of seeing. You wouldn't have believed it was the same theatre company. I also think the current cast in the Play That Goes Wrong is better than the original (i.e. the ones in the video). The guy playing Chris Bean is amazing though. He was the only actor I liked in Peter Pan Goes Wrong. The only one who made me genuinely laugh at one point. I guess I was super disappointed with it because I'd dragged some friends along as I'd told them it would be amazing because The Play is hilarious...and it was such a let down for all of us and now I'm not even sure I can get them to go see The Play That Goes Wrong, which is a shame.

I have seen most of the UK greats live on stage - From the 'old school' of Morecambe and Wise, Ken Dodd and Arthur Askey through to the younger comics like Lee Mack, Russell Howard, Milton Jones, Tim Vine and Frank Skinner.... but I have never, never ever laughed as much as I did watching the 'Mischief Theatre' and their plays. What is seen in this video in 9 minutes does not do the _Play that Goes Wrong_ justice. The fun starts way before the peformance while the cast mingle with the audience looking for a fictional 'dog' that has escaped. You laugh, then you laugh more. And when you think it cannot get funnier it does, until you are aching, And that is just the start of an evening that is so funny that it should come with a health warning. My wife and I also saw their second production, _Peter Pan Goes Wrong_ .... another sidesplitting success even funnier, if that is possible, than this 'play'. Well done Mischief Theatre, you are the funniest thing on stage for a VERY long time.

I saw this show closing week on Broadway and got a chance to speak to the actors after. As an actor myself, I applaud those people so much bc it is incredibly hard to have a show THAT technical (minus the heroic techies running the booth and the stage manager) and keep their reactions and performances as if it was the first time ever seeing/doing it. If you ever find a bootleg, there's a bit where the "techie" (an actor) is on their phone scrolling through Instagram or whatever and they miss like 3 important cues, and all the people on stage stare at them until they do the "oh shiT!" and does them XD. I asked the dude when I saw it and he said he genuinely would be texting his friends back or ordering dinner during the show. It was so great, I laughed my ass off for 90 minutes at least.

British comedy at its best, never tire of watching them, the more I watch, the funnier they are because you see different things. I love the facial expressions. I watch one of their shows every day, they are the perfect medicine whilst in social isolation. Seeing one of the plays live after corona virus has passed is my main wish list. Thank you to all the team .

just saw this play at the Lyceum Theatre this week on Broadway! I was dying of laughter! Some of the actors who play the crew were out and about the theatre looking around for a dog supposed to be in Act 2 and prepping some last minute set details hilariously! They interact with the audience several times throughout, and are KINGS OF IMPROV! If you have the means of seeing it, I highly recommend it if you're looking for a few hours of laughs!

I saw them in this play at the Grand Theatre in York, they did they same. Funniest thing I’ve ever seen. Love the pantomimes they do on TV at Christmas too.

Dear God. I would love to see this. If only someone videotaped the performance on bootlef. Hell, I would even pay to watch it stream online. (Not from the UK, so I can't pay for tickets.)

I have not laughed so hard- I fell off the sofa- This was brilliant comedy at it's best. Reminds me of my fun days of Highschool Drama and being in Drama groups as an Adult. The last nite of performance was hijinks galore and you just had to wing it to keep the plot moving. Miss those days. Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane. The Silver Fox

I've done a lot of stage performances over the years (mostly a stage hand and 2 years as a stage manager) and its hard enough to get things to go right. But to get them to go wrongly, right. Just wow
