I'm 68 but this 70s compilation has made me feel like a 20 year old again! I can't help but bop around to the beat! So many of these songs take me back to particular places and the people I was with at that time. Better than any blood pressure pills or statins!

And so, in knowing whether this is the flesh of God incarnate the key is to pay attention to His substance (His work, His words, His disposition, and much more), rather than to external appearance. ☀️ If people only see His external appearance, and ignore His substance, then that shows the ignorance and naivety of man. Substance is not known by external appearance; moreover, God's work never conforms to human understandings.☀️ Isn't the EXTERNAL APPEARANCE of JESUS contrary to human understandings? Doesn't His APPEARANCE and DRESS NOT GIVE ANY SIGN as to His REAL identity?🙏 Isn't the reason why the very first Pharisees oppose JESUS is because they only LOOKED at His EXTERNAL APPEARANCE, and did NOT take to heart the WORDS He SAW? ☀️🙏 It is my HOPE that the BROTHERS and SISTERS WHO ARE LOOKING for the APPEARANCE of GOD and WILL NOT REPEAT the TRAGEDY of HISTORY.🙏 You must NOT BE a MODERN AGE Pharisee and CRUCIFY GOD again. ☀️🙏 You must carefully consider how to welcome GOD'S RETURN, and must have a CLEAR MIND on how to be a PERSON WHO OBSERVES the TRUTH. This is the responsibility of everyone who is WAITING for JESUS to RETURN with the CLOUDS. ☀️ We must rub our spiritual eyes, and must not fall prey to words full of flights and imaginations. We must think about the practical WORK of GOD, and must see the REAL side of GOD. I wasn’t born when this came out but I love music fro this era.

My wife and I planted a tree, and years later, after she went with an Angel, and I left the tree behind, a song we once cried together. Iistening to it, it became reality 😢😢

This song has stood the test of time. It has touched me for decades. ❤️

Pure beauty, class, and wonderful vocal talent. So much of the music of the 1950's, 60's, and 70's set a standard that in general remains unmatched. The Platters certainly exemplify that.

One of THE best voices that has ever been recorded. Love that guitar intro, with just a touch of distortion on that last chord. This song puts the biggest smile on my face ... I remember hearing it many times on the radio when it was brand new. And I love that this existed in the first place! And one could consider that this is not only a love song sung to a woman; but a worship song, sung to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Undoubtedly one of the best male vocalist of the early 20th century ....👍👍👍

Isn't the outward appearance of Jesus is contrary to human understandings? Didn't His appearance and clothing give any clue as to His true identity? Wasn't the reason why the earliest Pharisees opposed Jesus was because t they only looked at His outward appearance, and did not take to heart the words He spoke? You must not become modern-day Pharisees and crucify God again. You must carefully consider how to welcome God's return, and must have a clear mind on how to be a person who submits to the truth. This is the responsibility of everyone who is waiting for Jesus to return with the clouds.) Almighty God said He who is the INCARNATION of GOD WILL HAVE the substance of GOD, and He who is the INCARNATION of GOD will have the MANIFESTATION of GOD. Flesh that does not HAVE the substance of God is certainly not GOD INCARNATE here there is no doubt. Substance is not known by external appearance; moreover, God's work never conforms to human understandings.☀️ Isn't the EXTERNAL APPEARANCE of JESUS contrary to human understandings? Doesn't His APPEARANCE and DRESS NOT GIVE ANY SIGN as to His REAL identity?🙏 Isn't the reason why the very first Pharisees oppose JESUS is because they only LOOKED at His EXTERNAL APPEARANCE, and did NOT take to heart the WORDS He SAW? ☀️🙏 It is my HOPE that the BROTHERS and SISTERS WHO ARE LOOKING for the APPEARANCE of GOD and WILL NOT REPEAT the TRAGEDY of HISTORY.🙏 You must NOT BE a MODERN AGE Pharisee and CRUCIFY GOD again. ☀️🙏 You must carefully consider how to welcome GOD'S RETURN, and must have a CLEAR MIND on how to be a PERSON WHO OBSERVES the TRUTH. This is the responsibility of everyone who is WAITING for JESUS to RETURN with the CLOUDS. ☀️ We must rub our spiritual eyes, and must not fall prey to words full of flights and imaginations. We must think about the practical WORK of GOD, and must see the REAL side of GOD. I've listened to a lot of great singers. This man had the most beautiful voice I ever heard. The only word to describe his singing voice is that it was heavenly.

Cream rises to the top. The Platters walked right over the color line with this landmark song. So beautiful.
