I think you missed something. As a user of apple ecosystem devices for a long time I recently switched to google pixel 6 pro, pixel buds-a, and wear os based fossil smartwatch. Let me tell you that I am surprised how everything works really well, and dont plan on returning to ios any time soon. Everything works seamlessly. I also use a windows laptop and sometimes have to connect pixel buds for skype calls. They work flawlessly with windows. Much better than airpods which had a lag during youtube videos and also connection problems. Switching between devices works perfect and most importantly fast. As a user of both "ecosystems", and if you dont mind using a windows pc i would suggest trying it out.

I disagree. Google, as a software company, has a software ecosystem. The hardware one is growing too but just recently. Just take a look at the amount of Google apps working so seamlessly together, so great together! This isn't nothing at all! And Apple, in their software ecosystem is way behind Google. We even use Google services on Apple products, even if there is already a preinstalled one. You can't only judge the Google Ecosystem on the hardware side. For any device connected on the internet, you can access the greatness of the Google Ecosystem just by a Gmail address. And all your data is sync. That answers the question of why Google isn't interested in making a "better" AirDrop between devices of the same user, just because, with Google Photos and Google Drive, there's no need! All of your files and photos are ALREADY accessible by just opening your file manager Google Drive or your gallery Google Photos. By just opening it! For myself, the gap of Ecosystem quality isn't a thing to deal with, because they aren't comparable. Personally, I see the Google Ecosystem and I love it!

Yeah I can see that. But why not have both at the end of the day? A lot of people do use Google services as a software ecosystem, but the adoption rate in the US of Google hardware is still low and the perception of Google having a good ecosystem is low as well. Not putting one over the other but these are the things Google needs to think about to compete in that space.

Yeah but you can access most Google services on an iPhone or MacBook. Google doesn't have a device lineup with any special ecosystem features that rival Apple.

I think an important part of this is also the fact Apple only makes things for Apple users, if I had an IPhone and I wanted a smart watch, why would I grab anything other than an apple watch, whereas if I'm someone who uses a samsung phone, I could grab the Pixel watch or a galaxy watch or any other smart watch save for the one Apple makes and have similar functionality between them

Im a year late to this video but I believe there's an important distinction to be made. Google's ecosystem is great. Pixel's ecosystem isn't. You're watching this video on KZread, where you logged in with your Gmail, possibly on Google Chrome with Google as your search engine. There's a good chance you use Google Maps to navigate and Google Photos for your photos and videos. You might use Google docs/slides/sheets and just Google drive in general for other storage besides photos and videos. You plan your day with Google calendar, etc etc etc. Google has a lot of very, very popular services but they're all software. This is what I believe is their primary ecosystem which is probably why they give Pixel "exclusive" features like Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur to other phones, including iPhones. They don't care as much if you're using their phones, as long as you're using their software/services. The Pixel ecosystem, could probably use some work. I plan on upgrading my Pixel 6 Pro to the Pixel 8 Pro when it comes out in

You should add more to the Pixel ecosystem (pixel tablet, pixel watch 2, Chromecast if you don't have it, etc). You don't have the photo features on other phones only pixel. The only way you get photo features is via Google One but that's only editing. The nearby share for all media including text is live

You can use pixel as a remote for any tv but you need some sort of app for it which sometimes isn't pre installed and I don't think Google wants to make a ecosystem like apples because they want an open source system for all devices.

How would this work? A full Google ecosystem (Pixel Buds Pro, Pixel Watch, Google Hello, Google Home, Google Wallet, Google Drive, KZread Music, etc etc etc.... but with an iPhone. If I remove most Apple software from the iphone and put in all Google software available....am I looking at difficult day to day operations like paying at the grocery store with Google Wallet, managing automatic passwords when logging into a site, using "Hey Google" to change a song on my Pixel Buds Pro. Im considering swapping Pixel phone to iphone simply for imessage... but now that I've written all this out... maybe I shouldnt. lol

Ecosystem is great marketing to sell people on stuff they dont really need. I literally much rather buy stuff I want at a much cheaper price and then just take the 10 seconds to resume a playlist on my computer or share a file in the cloud with like 2 extra steps. You can literally build an Ecosystem for less than the price of an iphone

I use google's service side of the ecosystem while I use apple's device side of the ecosystem. Google can, exist in any devices while apple can only do so in some. And sometimes it doesn't work well in those "some". Imagine I have an iPhone, a Macbook and a Windows PC. If I focus on apple's ecosystem both in services and devices, Windows is going to get left out because it isn't really well integrated as my Windows device is outside the walled garden. And if I focus on google's ecosystem both in services and devices, I miss out on that apple ecosystem benefits as well. But I won't miss out too much though since google is improving too. My point is, since both have their respective strong sides, why not just use both? And so I use google apps on my iPhone and I use windows. Works quite well tbh. Especially since I've been an android user for much longer. I have the added benefits of apple's safety in some cases, and while I don't in others, its fine since its safe enough.

Google, as a company is very disjointed and their products are a reflection of that. One department doesn't seem to know what their sister department is doing. Therefore apps and devices that should work well together...don't. I never really cared much about a cohesive ecosystem until my recent jump into Samsung's and I didn't know what I was missing. My S22+, Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Buds 2, and my Tab S8+ (yes an Android tablet that you said doesn't exist 🤣🤣), work so well together. I just knew I was going to be a Pixel user for the foreseeable future but the Pixel 6 wasn't enough to keep me. The Pixel watch and upcoming tablet are too late. We'll see how well theake these devices work together.

I can't agree with you my friend Google Is Not an ecosystem. Google is a universal device if you connect everything right and settings properly correct it can definitely be seamlessly... Every time I turn on my Windows computer my phone loads up automatically. I'm able to see my messages I'm able to see my pictures videos open apps stuff like that....I have a Windows computer and I have a Chromebook I'm able to use my Android apps on my Windows computer and I'm able to pin stuff from my phone and we'll go directly to my Windows computer same works on Chromebook I do it all the time. And with one click of a button you can swap your earbuds from your phone to either a Chromebook device or a Windows computer... I don't use earbuds for this I actually have a Bluetooth speaker with Bluetooth 5.0 I'm able to connect five devices with my Bluetooth device and as long as all five devices are connected to that Bluetooth device you should be able to swap back and forth with no problem at all... Please do homework before making these videos.. homework can help provide accurate information.

It's kinda crazy how Google released their Pixel Buds without any sort of "open the case and connect" functionality like the AirPods. Apple just did it, so why can't Google? As soon as the lid of your Pixel Buds is open, you should get a prompt on all devices linked to your Google Account asking you if you want to use your Buds with that device.
