@@aaakmm1785 when compared to the POCO F1 I had for around 3.5 years, the call quality is better, although it isn't a reason to buy the phone, unless you have really terrible call quality on your current phone, and the signal strength was pretty good, I'd say about the same, besides it takes about 10 seconds to switch from cellular internet to wifi (if you just always leave both of them on like I do), which isn't a huge deal, but can be annoying sometimes.
@baruchratz512

@@aaakmm1785 other considerations can be the great software (I haven't encountered any bugs so far in 2 weeks), the amazing AI, voice assistant, camera and performance when it comes to positives, and the negatives are the display which is sub par for the price point, some heating issues with sustained high performance (wasn't a big issue for me yet, but I didn't really push the phone, all I did was some light gaming, short camera sessions, and some KZread). Battery life is good enough for me, I usually end my days with around 30%, after about 6-7 hours of light usage screen on time, and 16 hours of total usage (I have the always on display turned on, and I rarely have battery saver on).

Hi Sam, thanks for the review, and it does a good job of highlighting the hardware (screen, camera, battery life) of the phone, but like most other Pixel 7 reviewer out there, you leave off a lot of the software and service integration that really defines the 'Pixel' experience. Features like Direct My Call, Call Screening, Live Transcription, Now Playing, Personal Safety, Google Assistant, Google, Lens, Google Translate, Night Shot (which is as much software as it is hardware on Pixel Phones) really make the Pixel 7 series feel very seamless and full-featured to use. Now many of these features are also available on competing Android phones, but they are not as well integrated, and without the TPUs on the Tensor 2 SoC, ay not be as fast or as accurate, so it would have been really interesting to see what Google does better than its competitors and which features are exclusive to the Pixel (off the top of my head, Now Playing, Photo Unblur, Direct My Call, Call Screening). It's also worth noting some of the limitations of Google's implementations, your installing Nova is pretty telling that the Pixel Launcher has fairly limited customization (which is something I personally don't mind, as I rarely customize my phone much beyond OEM presets), but this is something many users might want to know about (especially the new Gestures, which is very polarizing, it seems). Phones aren't just hardware these days, the software and combined user experience define how fully featured they are, and I think phone reviews should address the strengths and differences between phones in this area as well, especially since reviewers have access to many different phones and are able to compare many more vendors than typical end users will.
WHY is your cinematography so good!! The footages are so satisfying, and looks like a lot of work went into editing and music. Damn good review vid.

I just upgraded from a Pixel 3XL to the 7 Pro. My daughter tried to talk me out of the pro, saying I don't need the extra features, but man, the dictation is phenomenal (I'm a language teacher) and the photos, still exploring, but wow. Next up is video. Thanks for your review.
You deserve many, many times more subscribers. Absolutely quality reviews and you come across as very personable! Well done mate!
I recently bought a Pixel 6a. Switching from a budget Samsung. I've used Nova Launcher for years, but this time saved all of my settings, which, I'm pleased to say were transferred seamlessly over to the 6a. That included the setting which removes the pointless (IMO, as I have Chrome) Google Search Bar.
One truth to be told, I take screenshots of most of the top down shots from your videos. I find it so beautiful that it worths keeping those as pictures. 😍
I still love my 6 Pro, the two tone look of the device was so good. The haptic engine they used is top notch, everything with the device just feels crisp. Just picked one up. Upgrading from a Samsung Note 9. Gotta say if this was the "improved brightness" then thank goodness I did not get a pixel 6 pro. The Pixel 7 still looked much darker than my note 9. That being said the transition was much easier than I expected. Loving it so far.

good video. though i am using 13 pro max at the moment. and thinking of going to s22 ultra, I liked this phone too. also, whats about the colored band on top of the video? intentional?
When we open the recent apps, why is "clear all" all the way to the far left? May as well swipe each app away if I have to go all the way to the left to clear everything.
That weird double animation 9:57 is also present on my vivio iqoo 9se, i had to suffer with this on a daily basis as i use maps often.
Have you had issues with the network coverage and wifi?
Has anyone had any luck finding a good looking case that covers the metal on the camera bar? I'm worried about Google knocking down my future trade in value because of scratches.
Im getting a pixel pro 7 soon in the next week or so what would be the best way to condition the phones battery to get the most out of it
Been running Android 13 with the Pixel 6Pro from the start and I have never ran into the app fading when going into the recent app carousel.
For me I love this phone so much only problem I have is with the camera I have dark skin tone and it makes me even darker when I snap selfies lol forcing me to have to adjust the selfies in post
Enjoying my first ever pixel 7 pro. Wish Google adds a manual mode in the camera.
I NEED the wallpaper at 8:57!!! Where do I get it from? 🤤🤤🤤
They need to increase the charging speed to at least 65watt. People will comment and say oh that will hurt battery longevity but competitors have done multiple things that reduce the strain on the battery making it a dual cell battery and putting the chips that generate heat during charging in the power brick making the phone stay cooler and charge quicker along with a nice thermal heatsink
Got the 7pro, biggest issues are touch is still iffy having to press buttons especially back button multiple times to register. Only other grievance is, the speakers suck. My 4A sounds quite noticably better
I moved from pixel 5 to iPhone 14 pro which I’ve had for about 5 weeks. I’ve had the first 3rd and 5th generation pixels and I’m now in the process of moving back to pixel and getting the 7 pro soon. Why I moved away from pixel is beyond me. Pixel just can’t be beaten I feel.

Agreed on everything , however I'm not sure about the Haptics . The first software release let you adjust the amount of time in milliseconds as to how long it buzzed for with each click . They took that option away now and it's definitely not as strong as it was . I use navigation gestures and swipe to type and the Haptics are only gently noticed . I'm actually disappointed with the Haptics and think the iphones are much stronger . And no , I'm not and iphone user , nor do I like much else with their phones .
I love my pixel 7 pro, and I recommend under Developer Options to change the animation to .5. There's still a little animation, but it's so fast and slick. Maybe not everyone's taste, but I really like it.
