It was sold door to door by salesmen as a start up company when it first came out in 1981 in CA. I bought the 1/2 gallon bucket for $10. It lasted a several yrs . Couldn't find it again, wasnt in stores then. I found the empty bucket last year & finally tossed it. I liked it so much I kept the bucket for 40 yrs lol! Never knew until now it is available again.

The spray Awesome, when it first came out would clean anything baked or burnt on by simply spraying, soaking and then rinsing off. They changed it years ago and no longer works. I e already seen a change in the Dawn Power Wash since it first came out too. Same with Comet Gel tile cleaner and Lime Away.

I've been using Pink Stuff since the 90s before it was commercially available as a professional home cleaner. There is really no need to soak, its all about the product and elbow grease. The air fryer didn't clean as well because of the metal type and the baking on effect. This product works wonders on stainless steel. Use your fingers to remove from jar, not sponge, you do not want water to get into the container.

For the pan, you can regularly do a quick scrub of Barkeeper’s friend as maintenance. It would probably take the rest of what the pink stuff left on it. Also, oven cleaner sprayed on and then covered with plastic wrap for a few hours, or even overnight would loosen up the burned on grease and make it much easier to scrub off. I have 17 year old stainless steel pots and pans and they still look almost new and I use some of them almost everyday

I had a salesman come to my job in Oklahoma back around 1983 or so, worked great on my chair that my son had drawn on back of with a black marker, moved into my new house, now chair back was exposed to every one, scrubbed with water, toothbrush and pink paste and it all came out without messing up the chair fabric. Loved it but haven't been able to find for years, thanks for letting me know it still exists.

I've been using Pink Stuff for about year now. I stumbled across it when I couldn't find Power Paste (another great cleaning paste but never in stock). This cleaned a nasty vintage Revere Ware copper bottom tea kettle, rust stains from a procelain sink and my stove. For stainless steel pan bottoms, it's safe to use steel wool. Can't use Brillo/SOS with nonstick surfaces but you sure can use it on your stainless steel pan (I have one identical to it).

For the cookie sheet, put it in the oven on the cleaning cycle to strip it, wash it really well after, rhen season it like you would a naked iron skillet. I don't like the baking pans with the nonstick coating, but you can strip them, too, just make sure to scrub all the residue off well. Get plain old cheap ones and season them, though. So much easier, because you can just reseason as needed and not worry about scratching the special coating off.

So glad to see you back! When I was a kid, we had a boat in a salt water environment which was harsh on its hardware. My father used to buy Brasso wadding in a tin that did amazing things on all the metal surfaces. It was also great on pots and pans. Getting back to The Pink Stuff.... I wonder if it would work on my glass shower doors which are clouded with 37 years of limescale deposits. Lord knows, I've tried EVERYTHING (from CLR to lye cleaner to special glass cleaner made to remove water spots) and A LOT of elbow grease and have only made marginal headway. If this stuff can get my shower doors 100% clean, I'd be amazed.

I live in an area with extremely hard water. I have installed a water softener but the previous owners did not have a softener and probably not a squeegee either. Hard water, if left, will not only leave white mineral spots on glass doors, it etches them; just eats into the glass. Use all the cleaners and techniques you can find, it will not remove etching. Etching has to be polished out. This Pink Stuff, my drill with a polishing pad on it and some elbow grease polished all the etching out of the glass and it looks brand new.

You will probably hate me for this but i know a cheaper way to keep your pots and pans cleaner with less scrubbing right from the start. Take a little bit of liquid dish soap put a thin layer on the bottom and up the sides a bit and start cooking 🍳 give it a quick scrub down with soap and water and it should look like new again. Now with my why it worked better on the pan verses the toaster and the cookie sheet. The toaster is of a light steel if not aluminum plus its painted, the cookie sheet is aluminum and i also believe they work like cast iron once they get cured they bake better, and the pan is made of a heavier aluminum which is a denser material or stainless steel. If it is stainless steel you should always scrub with the grain so you dont scratch it. Great review though.

Hi all, I live in BC Canada near Vancouver, I recently found Bar Keeper's Friend...I saw a bunch of videos on YT about that product and found it at the local Canadian Tire store...It was on sale at the time for $3.99 (Canadian) normal price, $5.99...brought it home and so far I have used it on my glass stove top similar to the one the lady in this video has...it works pretty good there...but the thing I really was impressed with was the glass on the oven door...it was all mucked up with cooking splatter and had not been cleaned for a year or so, so it was baked on pretty good. I spread some of the BKF (I bought the paste formula not the powder) smeared it around using a light scrub with one of the scrubbies that has the green scrubby pad on one side and sponge on the other...I used the green scrubby side with very light pressure to spread the paste around...left it for about 1 minute...they say don't leave it on more than a minute...then gave it a light (I mean very light) scrub and it just came up so nice...took maybe all told about 5 minutes in total time laying it down, light scrub, and rinceing off the remaining residue...came super clean...very glad I bought 3 bottles when I did. Hope they put it on sale near when I am running out...also I used it on my glass shower door...oh my goodness...using light pressure and a scrub daddy...came very clean. I would recommend if you can get your hands on Bar Keeper's Friend...get some, you will love it.

I think that the pan got cleaner because you were able to scrub in multiple directions, and a circular motion. The toaster thing only seem to allow you to go back-and-forth in one direction.

honestly for my pan in prticular the vinegar worked better than this but this clean another pan so I guess it depends on material the pans made of?! it cut down 80% of stuff on the pan it did work on! both hacks do work :)

Also in the U.K. where the pink stuff is manufactured, you can buy toilet cleaner and a scrubber kit. I love my kit. Saves the hands. I’ll see about gifting you one when I head there next summer. I’ll be in need for a new kit too😉

Wow this is a great review. Im going buy it right now. I wonder if you let sit over night. I wonder if mixing w baking soda with it, or even vinegar. Since it toxic free or whatever! Usually can mix those things without disastrous a effects. But I’ve never owned this stuff so I don’t know what it’s made of! So but im about too.

In England you can get it for £1.50 for the larger tubs. It's so cheap. I bought a load of tubs before all the prices went crazy. Only 80 pence each.

@@debrachapman60 it's cheap because it's just soda crystals and detergent with added colouring and scent. You could do the same with something like Fairy washing up liquid and a spoonful of soda crystals. I keep a bag under my kitchen sink as they're great for all kinds of things. This thing is only so highly priced because it went viral and people think it's something special.

@@mydogeatspuke it is really handy though. And cheap in the UK. It went viral here in 2018/19 and everyone was buying it. I'm very impressed with it. I've tried the washing up liquid and soda crystals method but found it a chore. Hopefully the US will make their own version so it will be cheaper. 😊

@@debrachapman60 I mean that you find mixing two things together on the thing you want to clean a chore is.. unfortunate, I guess? I'm just saying it's cheap because it's made with very affordable and easily obtained ingredients. I don't actually care what people spend their time and money on. I was just saying why it's cheap.

You might be safer using the pink stuff in the spray bottle on glass it is not as gritty as the stuff in the tub which has grit in it. Some people make a paste and apply with an old tooth brush and leave sot for a while. With pans like yours I usually have to apply it a few times and scrub each time and I do it over a few days and it works great it can just depend on how bad your pans get and if you are anything like me a bit lazy and at times get a mad notion to do the deep scrubbing work. Now what I do is as I replace pans I scrub them once a month with the pink stuff to try and keep on top of it

The Pink Stuff is a mild abrasive. It works quicker on pans if you dont use a large pore sponge. Just use a regular one. I clean my glass stove top with a razor blade. Abrasives can make the glass cloudy over time.

I bought a pail of the pink solution at Costco about 5 years ago. It’s amazing! My son was moving and he was staging his house. When he took up a small carpet in his daughters room there was black sharpie scribbles all over the rug that the carpet was hiding. His ex must have put it there so he wouldn’t know about it. He asked me what to do so I brought a tub of pink solution over from my place and wet the carpet down and scrubbed in the pink solution with a brush and let it sit for 20 minutes. Then I really soaked it and scrubbed it and every bit of marker came out. We’ve used it on spots on our carpets and on our bathtubs and sinks. A bit of pink solution in a spray bottle with water and it’s a great window cleaner. We are nearly out so I’ll get another tub when Costco has it again.
