They operate in the philippines where goods and services are much cheaper, so its not a problem, further, they hold the market, so even if a foriegn company comes in, its not like theyll be put out of business. These companies having lower in value is a actually a good sign for the locals, because it means the goods and services are in line with the purchasing power of the citizens and therefore they do not drive inflation that much.

"If a foreign company comes, it's not like they'll be put out of business" yes because chances are, these local companies own 60% of that "foreign" competitor. A stupid PH law requires foreign investors to give up 60% of their ownership to a local partner. The only reason these businesses are afloat is because that law allows them to not have competitors or they're co-owners of their supposed to be competitor. No competitor = they can milk the market all they can despite having overpriced and poor quality products/services, focused more on profit rather than improving their services (investing in tech, trainings etc). This is the reason why they only succeed/operate in the Philippines because they're waaaay behind of what their regional counterparts have to offer and can't compete.

Most Filipino Companies are conservative. They are not aggressive enough to expand outside their main business and market. They are confined to their Philippine / Filipino market and with their traditional businesses. Even when Jollibee expands to other countries they are still focus on "Filipino" market. San Miguel, Ayala and SM the biggest companies in the Philippines they have limited expansion outside the Philippines. You rarely see San Miquel products abroad and you cant see BDO or BPI banks in other countries. Whereas, there are Malayan Bank branches in Philippines. Indo foods products are common in Philippine supermarket. Also, Vinfast EV will soon be sold in the Philippines.

You aren’t comparing apples to apples. You compare jfc to mcdonalds, but mcdonalds is not only older by 35 years, but also has a larger and richer base market, the American market. While comparing Philippine banks to Indonesian ones is also unfair since not only does Indonesia have a larger population thus more people to get money from, but also has a larger economy, and we can see when compared to banks from countries with similar size, population, and economy Philippine banks are comparable if not slightly ahead.

Then Let's compare it to Samsung and LG 60 years ago because that time they are good at creating toothpaste and beauty products.

Why you asia stell Filipino food in jollibee from Philippines 🇵🇭

  • @cptbalao1810

Since the title mentioned Asia, JFC should be compared to other asian owned fast food chain. It would be asia's largest then. Ph is slower in terms of development but its trajectory is upwards. Some of our neigboring rich countries only have impeding doom in front of them, dwindling population and unhappy citizens. Stay positive ph

You crack me up with these videos, seems like the objective of your channel is just to make a video making things look over PH stuff, thats moronic, the lack of context behind why all these global corporations are bigger than PH ones is immense, but I understand this is the way that channels get subs and thumbs up, creating a point of look down on PH must equal success on here amongst the Filiipino/Philippines hate crew.
