I think he is distracting and not in the loop with John and Bernardo. Constantly moving and not paying attention. John unfazed because he’s teaching but even in this vid you can see Bernardo getting annoyed by it.

everytime I watch one of your videos, especially whith Danaher, I learn a new concept that may improve my game. Thanks for the excellent work!
Works for me in the gi since purple, opens your opponent to so many attacks at all times, and keeps them on defense. If you are a smaller player it’s very effective for not getting smashed.

Awesome details and logic !
Brilliant instructor!
Brilliant!!
Omg i have had a major break from the sport (7years) and recently restarted. Catching up with top competitors and seeing a young Craig Jones as a Giles demonstration partner says miles about him as a teacher, as well as giving excellent advices on defeating very stubborn player that play butterfly/ knee shield game in practice.
For those who doesnt want to watch 30+ min general idea of the video ("new wave of jiujitsu") is that you must be good at attacking upper body & lower body of opp. No thanks are necessary.
Amazing video. He is a master splinter of BJJ
That's going to be sick !
So smooth
Placido hasn’t stopped nodding for 30 min
Placido flexing on us at the beginning
I have a lot of these new school guard retention vids. They are heavy on important theory which is great if you are deep in to jiujitsu. But they dont give you simple repeatable live drills to do to train all the movements so i had to build them myself. Instuctionals now fall into two categories. Theory or technique. But they lack the nuts and bolts drills to bring the theory into practice.

11nth minute. Talking about guard retention really opened my eyes.
Craig jones vs leandro Lo is a testament to Danaher talking about the legs always being available
thats the loudest request to subscribe to the youtube channel on the internet. ive watched so many vids on this channel that i can time that headphone destroying moment :)
Oh John gonna speak, time to raise the volume to 100.
It’s taken me a long time to get good at guard retention. I’ve always been fairly good at imposing my will upon people, which means I’m usually in top position. I literally had to resort to pulling guard just to get some practice from guard. It definitely would have been nice to start out with a focus on guard retention so I could master that first. It makes such a huge difference in the rest of your game.
"The Knowledge Denier Model" 😂 he makes it sound like a university class
I'm sure I saw John Danaher wearing a Jungle fightwear rashguard at a seminar last summer. I HAVE to see him do the animal combat talk in one of these

WHEN?
How attack the legs when the other guy is passing like Bernardo, with his over under pass style?
Placido repping Croatia on his rashguard 16:00 :D
USB lapel mics Bernardo. They will make a difference.
3 other reasons: Leg locks have also a fast setup, less stacking defense possible preoccupied by turning away, and less dexterity then arms....
