I honestly liked both tank setups. I have a mix of natural, planted tanks and fun, completely artificial setups and find all of them enjoyable in their own way.

Some people can't see fun when they are staring right at it.

I think both tanks look great. People get so worked up over the dumbest things.

Nice one Lisa, I’ve been watching you and Johns videos lately and I’ve learned a lot so thankyou both ...I’m 82 years old and just starting up in tropical fish (waiting patiently for the tank to cycle) I bought the Tetra 80ltr tank ..Many years ago I did have a fish tank but it’s all changed now and thanks to you two I’m learning the new ways .🇺🇸🇬🇧..Opps , I forgot to add I loved Johns manly tank lol ..Cheers both of you .

Gendering anything is dumb, but people need to get over themselves. He made it clear he wasnt trying to be one of THOSE people.

So the takeaway is if you want an awesome manly tank, have a woman build it.

Well I think his "manly" tank was actually the lazy tank this lady (I can't remember names very easily) is taking her time and is being detailed rather than just going rocks, fake plants, cool wood, water, lots of product placement, and done. As a person who likes fish I would go with this video but if I was an office worker who didn't have a window and didn't wanna take 3 hours to set up a tank I would make mine "manly" ya know what I mean?

@@KGTropicals It never does!! My wife wasn't into fish at all when we met but now my house is like living at a city aquarium lol She has almost as many tanks as me. But, hers are all Decorated, pretty , community tanks.. While mine are mostly Giant, bare-ish, predator tanks lol.

I like the manly tank and that is what you call it. Lisa your betta is beautiful and his tank is great. I don’t have a green thumb for aquatic plants that is why you give me joy in watching you.

Very nice, I did something similar in my 10 gallon beta tank. I did white sand and a river from the left rear to center front. I used light blue gravel for the river, lined like yours with rocks, although much smaller ones. Used a sponge filter, one sword plant one banana plant a a big bunch of cabomba. The beta has 3 neons, an octo cat and 2 blue velvet shrimp. Tried the shrimp as an experiment to match the blue River and blue betta. It has been 5 weeks and so far he has left the shrimp alone. Have a blessed day. Oh, a great video.

There will always be haters and trolls. They do this for many reasons. See I studied Psychology. Haters and Trolls usually do this because they are jealous or unhappy with their lives. It makes them feel like they are a part of something or important or superior. The most important thing people should do is ignore them. If they do not get a response they usually go away. IF they do not then you may see signs that draw red flags where you will need to call the police. These signs would be death threats or what's known today as terroristic threats. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but that doesn't mean they should always share it. If they do not like something then don't watch. If they do then that is the definition of a Troll or Hater.

Though both video were great. That tank came out absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is kinda awkward and her voice is a little monotone. I think she is growing on me though. Loved the video!!!

I bought a baby betta at petco once, put it in my 20 gallon community tank, dang thing got MASSIVE, I’d never heard of king bettas until a couple months ago, my sister has a male dragon scale and my female king betta is 2-3 times his size

This may be a dumb question, but how do you vacuum that substrate without disturbing everything?

You have to be very gentle until maybe 4 weeks when it’s rooted in and then you can vacuum the grass

Al lot of people were offended last week from John because a lot of people are stupid. Your tank came out great. You'll need to keep is updated on the plantings. I'm always fascinated by people who can grow live plants (even more for the people who can grow the plastic ones). I'm definitely a Black Thumb when it comes to trying my hand at it.

Lisa, I've engineered the perfect overflow design and have built the perfect sump system. For a reef tank. But you convinced me! I've been wandering lost, and have finally found my way! It's a 75g tank, it's going inside now.. testing all done.. and I'm putting one Betta in it! Just one fish, him! Think he'll like it? :)

Hi LIsa! I was wondering if you use lids for your beta tanks? I thought they were sort of a must to keep stuff from getting in the tank that might hurt fish. Also, I use live plants but they keep dying! 😕 They just turn brown and some of the stems rot. Sometimes the leaves just disintegrate! Your plants always look so lush and beautiful! Maybe its the substrate you’re using. I think I’ll get some and see if that helps. If you have any other thoughts or suggestions, I’m all ears!!! Thanks for the fun video! I enjoyed watching you scape your tank! 😊
