In Jamaica we just call this curry rice. Also, ensure that you kinda burn the curry like how you would burn sugar. Doing this ensures the curry doesnt cause tummy issues.

it's actually not the same thing. I understand curry is burnt for chicken curry and the likes, but if you do that for this fried rice, the taste and color is different and you'd barely have tummy issues cooking this way as well. But, i love jamaican curry recipes, it's super delicious.

What racist or hateful comments are you referring to? The point people are making is that the original fried rice base (Chinese) is not cooked this way. Chinese fried rice uses old cooked rice as a base. Maybe if Ify had said Nigerian Fried Rice there would be less comments about how it differs, but even then I haven't seen any hateful comments, just comments about the differences and how they call this different things in their different cultures. Would appreciate it if you point me to any hateful comment.

I see a lot of us here telling us this is not fried rice. This is not the complete version. It is just the base. This is what we call fried rice in Nigeria. If probably made it revivals any fried rice in the world. So please let us call it what ever name we want, it is our rice not urs(Ghanaian or uncleRoger)

U can use any herbs and spices of your choice. Besides turmeric gives golden yellow color.

I don't like curry in fried rice. I rather curried chicken, beef or pork with potatoes on plain boiled rice.

This fried rice is not the typical fried rice you know. this is Nigerian fried rice, if you search up Nigerian fried rice you will see that it's made like this in our country. This is the fried rice I grew up with before I even knew about Chinese fried rice, or other countries fried rice
