I love how this is a competition show, but it's always so positive, just pizza chefs bringing their best game and respecting the hell out of each other, win or lose. Always brings a smile to my face.

It's just following a recipe my dude... dough, throw on some ingredients and put it in an oven. The hardest thing to get right is the dough and they prepare that in advance... Not saying she isn't awesome, she is because of her personality... but "skills" are not really a factor here.

@@micglou As someone who has eaten at various pizza joints, it’s not just following a recipe. If it was, pizza would be perfect every time. Also, many times it’s their own recipe & recipes can take dozens, if not hundreds of attempts to perfect. They’re not using any old recipe you can get off google, dude. Edit: I’d also like to add that it’s not just the dough, that matters, it’s also the sauce. The sauce matters just as much as the dough & that’s also something they have to create. Again, using their own recipe that probably took many trials & errors. Plus, even if it is the dough, there is/are literal proper techniques to flipping dough so it’s more than a recipe.

Im so happy you guys loved this episode with Cliff Skighwalker. You have no idea how thrilled I was to have him on the show. We reunited and KILLED IT! His shrimp Detroit pie was amazing and the judges gave him so much praise. Please continue to show him love. He’s the BEST! See you next week on Pizza Wars!

Cliff seems like the kinda guy I'd love to hang out, have a beer or two (or three), and make pizzas with all day.

Cliff is the goat of the Detroit-Style, had the honor to photograph his amazing food! That's my guy

I love how supportive the competitors are on this show. Like, we can all be good, we don't have to put each other down.

I am a proud Michigander and Cliff's pizzas are absolutely blow your mind amazing! I kinda think he should've won. I know Nicole had the fancy Italian dish in there, but Cliff went a bit simpler and what he does best. I respect that. They really both did great!

Love that Detroit style pizza is getting more publicity lately. I'd happily argue that it's the superior Midwestern pizza tradition.

the chemistry, the energy, the vibes you both give off is phenomenal, hope to see more from the both of you together in the future

I love how this show is a competition, but it's really more just about loving on each other's dishes. I just always wanna see people loving on each other's work and having a good time instead of trying to beat each other down. Nice work, and definitely thanks to Nicole's positive attitude

This show kinda like throw down with Bobby flay except the surprise factor. She goes head to head with who mastered that type of pizza lol.

Detroit style, when done well is my favorite of any style. I go on pizza vacations all over the world, tried every style imaginable, and this...crazy ass panned pizza is the best of them all lol.

Pizza is so versatile. It really is hard to screw up. These ones look tastier than I could manage though.

Detroit style is my absolute favorite. Buddy's, Shields, Buschemi's, etc.

@@Kari_Jane I just was up in Detroit and had Zeff's Coneys which is at Eastern Market. It was insanely tasty and I found it on a whim!

Being from the Chicago area I had never really considered Detroit for pizza but I went to a Tigers game at Comerica and hit Buddy’s beforehand. Consider me educated. Detroit pizza is amazing and deserves to be right up there in the conversation with Chicago and NYC.

Honestly as life long NY’er I never even heard about “Detroit style pizza” until earlier this year when Pizza Hut advertised it...I know-I know 😂...but now I’m planning to travel to Detroit Labor Day weekend for first time and one of my main priorities is to try this pizza authentically! I heard of Jets Pizza they have a location in NYC looks really good in pics..but im holding off on it so bad cause I wanna be in Detroit for my first time trying it lol 🍕

If I said to my wife..."I'm going for a Pissa" She wouldn't expect to be eating anything on my return. She'd ask if I'd washed my hands.

I've said it before, but this is probably my favorite FWF show. The personalities are nice, the energy is nice, the format is nice, the production is nice, but what really does it is that it makes me hungrier than any other show on the channel. And that's saying a lot.

Cliff crust is pretty much spot on tho, goto any pizza place in the metro Detroit area and it don't get much more caramelized than that.

Detroit Pizza is straight up wonderful.

I love Detroit pizza. Even though they use the best pepperoni that curls and fills with grease, I actually prefer just cheese with extra sauce.
