Congratulations Bobby. We looked at the 525 and it’s a great entertainment boat. Perfect for you and your channel! We are promoting it for you on the Island Spirit Catamaran Adventures group on Facebook. It’s a very different machine from our 2006 Island Spirit. We love the space and the hybrid tech . We had the same idea of adding a bow sprit and using the 4 cabin with a workshop or office.

What you are doing makes the most sense for the most people doing the long--distance cruising scenario. Contrary to what people may think, one spends much more time at anchor than sailing doing the long--distance cruising. Comfort is important enough to have washing machines, freezers, water makers, air conditioning … To go faster you need a better sail area to weight ratio and a reduced wetted surface. Something a average catamaran with comfort being primary will sacrifice. To go fast, without sacrificing on the comfort a very serious investment is necessary. For some lifelong sailors like me the choice is no longer between comfort and performance, but rather price and performance. All I want is the minimum comfort expected and more and more performance oriented. Give me enough to do oceans at 9/10 knots and take some fun surfs. Rarely have I left my boat in some far off distant place, and flown back home when the sailing season ends.

Great looking boat… appears really well configured and rigged. I’ve bare=boated a couple of Lagoons in the BVI through Navigare… a 42’ and a 45’ as I recall, but yours looks nicer sure. That’s a great program that Navigare has… I’m going to check it out! Thank you.
