London calls for the light-heavyweight king. WBC, WBO and IBF world champion Artur Beterbiev will defend his belts against big-punching British challenger Anthony Yarde at the OVO Arena Wembley on Saturday, January 28.
The WBO No.1 contender gets his shot at the Montreal-based Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs), boxing’s only world champion with a 100 percent knockout ratio. He will be fighting professionally in the United Kingdom for the first time, with the highly decorated former amateur having fought in London at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Promoted by Frank Warren and Queensberry, in association with Top Rank, this huge 175-pound showdown will be shown exclusively on BT Sport in the UK and streaming live and exclusively on ESPN+ in the U.S.

The Gvozdyk fight was the eyeopener, Gvozdyk was an absolute monster KOing everyone left, right, center and giving champs damage!

He fought Gvozdyk a little dirty. I noticed some shots that were bordering if not rabbit punches. I think Beterbiev saw him as a threat, seeing how aggressive he was being up until throwing his opponent onto the canvas.
Beterbiev vs Bivol it's potentially best fight in 179 for many years!

@Infinity Bivol is technical master of box, speed, IQ. He's a universal fighter, so for me Bivol has every chance to win 55/45 and the fight may be already at the end of 2023 or in the first half of 2024.

Something special about this guy. And I only became a true believer in his ability after he beat Marcus Browne. But my god, now I believe in his ability, its crazy the contrast between his mild mannered and gentle persona outside of the ring, whilst having this face that looks intimidating, and just giving off this vibe where he seems like he's made out steel. And in reality only Mike tyson was one of those fighters who continued to KO fighters even against top fighters. Beterbiev is one of those special few.
Does not get the respect he deserves. Beat the undefeated, lineal WBC champ Gvozdyk, essentially Bivol with power into retirement. Iced Joe Smith in 2. 🔥 If Ward didn't retire when Beterbiev was his mandatory, the first highlight would be Beterbiev retiring him in the ring.

@@spongebobby5734 they’re different fighters but at the time Bivol was absolutely not better than him. I think y’all forget that Beterbiev and Gvozdyk ran the Eastern European amateur ring and not Bivol. He was a speck in their region outside the younger rankings

Bivol needs to fight Beterbiev. I bet Artur can get it done, he beat gvozdik who's essentially like bivol but with much more power. People also doesn't give credit to gvozdik. Both he and Artur dominated the European boxing. Maybe bivol will only fight Beterbiev once he's old, what's he waiting for? He's the most underrated boxer because doesn't speak any trash, not flashy and all over the place, just a nice family man who just wants to box and make money.

It's not because koelling tough, but beterbeive says that he just try to test himself if he's can't go till 12r U see every time he fight will end by Ko Koelling just to easy to him that's why he choose to test himself

Nah ma He will feel that power and it will take bivol off his game that jab will get countered by beterbiev and he will also dominate him physically in close. Beterbiev has a chin power cardio and he is alot better of a pure boxer than people give him credit for. He also stops Canelo instead of going the distance

I feel you Canelo is great but not at 175 vs Bivol or Beterbiev. Who has a 100% ko percentage and is undefeated Canelo is a decorated goat but his flaws get exposed at 175 and I think Bivol is great but I think that Beterbiev is a good boxer we disagree and I think k his power is serious and when he I'd knocked down he proceeds to get up and win by ko

All of that aside the fight I really want to see is Benevidez vs Canelo and possibly Beterbiev if he moves up before Beterbiev retires. But I think the canelo Benevidez fight has way more chance of getting made obviously and I think he really gives Canelo problems and it will be the mandatory at 168 if he beats Caleb Plant which will also be a good one
