The Parable of the Vinedressers (Mark 12:1-12) - A Sermon by R.C. Sproul

While the Pharisees built monuments to the prophets, they rejected what the prophets taught. In this sermon, R.C. Sproul continues his exposition of the book of Mark to consider Jesus’ confrontation of these unfaithful leaders.

Father God, in accordance with this word and mark 12:1-12, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 I loosen fruit will be denied by those denying the harvest to the owner, while loosening myself of every unequal yoke and common share with those who do refuse fruit to return to the owner, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

It’s a startling concept that Israel had such a different view of their history then the one Jesus paints here and which is the actual truth. Do we have the same misconception about our own faith history?

@ timestamp 26:13 is a grievous error and likely the lie from which dispensationalism (replacement theology) is born. Gentiles are non-believers, Pagans. Those non-Jews (Ephraim) and those grafted in by faith are still part of Covenanted Israel. Paul referred to them as the “uncircumcised”, meaning simply, those not born Jewish (tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and the Levites). Ephraim has forgotten its identity. Yeshua Messiah did destroy the ability of the Levitical priesthood to carry out its duties with the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in approx. 70 A.D. . However, before his execution upon the stake, at what we refer to as the ‘Last Supper’, Messiah anointed his Disciples into the order of the Melchizedek priesthood (those who taught Torah) through the washing of their feet. Other notable Melchizedek priests include Noah, Moses, and John the Immerser (Baptist). The Melchizedek priesthood is a higher order than the Levitical priesthood.
