Mark... Time 9:14... Day 29. Religious liars . No prophets. Yes profits. No praise , yes preys. No starvation , yes communion. Not to serve humans , but to serve up humans . All religions of earth are cults with lies of gods by the human liar. I know religion is desception. It's what a human is .. When on psychopaths world , do as the psychos do...lie. Earth's god if they had one would be the god of illusions.

@ZoneFighter1 actually...it's god's kingdom of lies. Where you are sold religion as you buy bull . The lies are prophets and the truth is profits. Man follows God's kingdom of lies. There are no gods. Just cults sold as religions. They don't pray for the poor. They prey on the poor. To serve Jesus is to prey upon him called communion. Religious people are no better then street performers panhandling . Religious people are delusional with a odd god complex worse then doctors.

@@saskoilersfan Right, cuz DNA - the most complex information system we can observe (and which we can't replicate) - just up and wrote itself out of a mud puddle. Romans 1 anticipates your dismissal, and it says you will be without excuse. May I ask you discard your anthropocentric views, and give the Gospel a chance from a Theocentric position?

@@saskoilersfan There's one part here you have right. The discouragement of "religion" which is right on the money. A bunch of incantations, ceremonies, and waving around of the proverbial chicken bone will not move the all-powerful Creator to even blink an eye. "Ex opere operato" and all that. As Christ already said "Many will come in my name" and for sure the charlatans abound, get all the attention, but the faithful are regarded as foolish and boring.

I miss you Dr. Sproul.

Dr Sproul puts his finger on human nature, and honestly recounts the struggles we have, as Christians.

East Timaor has similar level of faith to what was seen in Korea: people walk hours in the jungle to get to Church and even in the remotest places thay are overflowing.

As a type II diabetic, fasting is not on my repertoire of weapons against the beast (as seemingly needed in the account) or as a bulwark under my prayers. In this account it doesn't seem we are told our Lord was explicitly fasting at this moment, but then in the "woman at the well" account our Lord did refuse the food the disciples had brought, saying He was not in need as He was being sustained by the Word of God. No big stretch in my mind here that Jesus *may have* been doing the same thing here, but of course we can't just eisegete this out of hand to "make the theme work" for us. In other words there's no exegesis (I can currently arrive at) that Jesus was in fact fasting at this point.

If anyone can help me understand. Is this sermon suggesting that if we pray and fast, we can have the power like Jesus to heal/cast out demons??
