The Gospel of Jesus Christ is truth and light that points us to eternal life with our Savior and Heavenly Father.
This is a great talk! I love how plainly and confidently he testifies of Jesus Christ. He is obviously on that firm foundation that is of Jesus Christ. Thank you for being a great mentor for us Dallin H Oaks!
To take up the cross and follow Jesus means letting go of anything and everything that makes us less open to the mind and will of God- no matter how socially accepted it is. God gave us everything, not even withholding His son. We cannot possibly come to a fullness of His love or His joy if we are holding back a pet of our mind, heart, or life from Him. This is what we are really called to as Christians: the full conversion of our souls from peoples of earth to peoples of God. All the steps we are told to take and those we are forbidden from taking are to the end that we become fully converted. This is only possible through the merits of Christ who is MIGHTY to save. Our choices to participate consistently in the study of His gospel in reading and searching and acting upon His word keep us ever kneeling at His feet. They show Him we are willing and ready to receive His love, comfort, and correction. I am so thankful for this talk and so many other like it, for the testimony born of such powerful and enlightening truth. I know He is speaking the words God wants us to hear. I know God is speaking to us through Him.
Wow, such a timely message for 2020, with its out of control current events. This was like an oasis in today’s sea of hateful news 😩
