This film dramatizes the problems facing ordinary American soldiers during the Revolutionary War, explaining why most ultimately chose to stay and fight. Produced by the by the New York American Revolution Bicentennial Commission and supported by funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, directed by William C. Jersey.
Featuring future well-known actors David Naughton, William Sanderson, Roberta Maxwell, Josh Clark, Tom Waite, Jamie Ross, Mark Margolis and Steve Simpson.

LOVE these series, keep up with the Revolutionary War series, they're sorely needed, today. Especially when comments read they don't understand what's going on - Today, if you told people that our troops froze to death in New Jersey they wouldn't believe it, what with 90° days in October. I hardly believe it but for the winters and winter sports I miss and remember!
movie like this why we honor those who fought for our freedom! Our first army that fought for our independence had it rough !

always knew EB Farnum was a hero! Can’t believe he survived all the way to deadwood! That was 100 years later. What a true American hero!

These were great men who risked everything and I'm a total pampered loser. I need to get my crap together. That's what I took away from this.
Everybody’s talking like it’s the Civil War
That was a terribly weird film. Whatever it was supposed to communicate it wasn't hope or character arcs.

It portrays how tough it was after initial battles, how bad the conditions were, the low moral of troops and men and it never got much better. The watched series puts all in perspective.

@@lizziesangi1602 If there are more episodes that might help, but as a stand alone it doesn't do much for story telling. Not much of a beginning, middle and end, and the morals it teaches, YIKES!
Wow. This movie is the result of a 7th-grade drama class. It's so poorly done, it's shocking.
