He absolutely screwed up. Emma Stone it said in LA LA LAND. She just won 10 min earlier and the account firm who handles the envelopes gave him the wrong envelope. The are both at fault. If Warren was so confused HE SHOULD HAVE STOPPED RIGHT THERE AND WENT BACKSTAGE TO GET THE CORRECT ENVELOPE! His age most certainly had something to do with it.

All the more reason why he should share the blame because he should have known how to deal with it. He has been a director and a producer and even nominated for both...winning for director, so he can handle problems when they arise. Instead, he just stood there grinning like an idiot and handed off the envelope to an impatient Faye Dunaway to do the dirty work.

I loved this video. I watched a lot of these live on the Oscars. The old shows were really really great. It's just that they've become so political with the choice of movies going to those that are pushing an agenda. Like this year with CODA, doesn't matter if it's actually good or not, or that there's not a lot of public interest, they are going to win because the Academy has chosen to bring light to deaf actors. Or the year when everyone wore Black to the Golden Globes. Or the year when all the Actors got up with their long long politically infused speeches on what ever was bothering them that particular year. Dress up, show up, accept the award with grace, thank a FEW people that you actually love and supported you, and your GOD, then get off the stage. If the people watching want to be taught about black lives matter, then we will watch the news. And if you can make us laugh along the way, jump on a few tables, order Pizza, that's just a bonus. Of course this year thoughts will be given to Ukraine and that's okay, because it affects everyone, and everyones heart goes out to Ukraine. They need our prayers. But that's all that should be said. OKAY! Having said that Love watching you guys and love your profession. Thank you for giving the world laughter, joy and comfort in uncertain times and celebrating with us in joyous times.

The actresses were not offended because they realized that there's no such thing as bad publicity in an industry so mired in sensationalism and at a time with so much choice for someone's attention. Even our politicians are included.

The McFarlane bit was preplanned. All of the women who were shown while he was singing knew about it beforehand. It’s still an insipid, insulting song.

yes, it was terrible and never should have been done - but this video doesn't show everything surrounding it They tried to get away with it by framing it as 'seth mcfarland is so inappropriate he would do something terrible - imagine if he did this......'- and all of the 'reaction' shots from the actresses were staged - they knew about it and were in on it. That made it kind of funny. But it was still in very poor taste and should not have been done,

Seth tried to wiggle out of the controversy by saying it was an attempt to show how sexist Hollywood is, but anyone who has seen his “Family Guy” and “American Dad” shows should know better - they both reek of misogyny.
